How Do You Prove Your Tongue Is Really from Holy Spirit?

제가 유투브에 동영상을 올리게 600여개가 다 되어갑니다. 제 논조는 다소 과격하며 우리네 교회와 목회자에 대해 부정적이죠.
Now, I have almost 600 videos uploaded on YouTube. Most of them are on the harsh side, criticizing Christianity today.
그래서 제 주장에 동의하는 이들이 많지 않은 것도 사실입니다.
Of course, the opposition is great in number.
그러나 자신의 생각과 맞지 않으면 뒤도 돌아보지 않고 나가면 됩니다.
Yes, you don’t have to watch them if you don’t agree with what I say; no one is forced to watch.
그러나 어떤 이들은 댓글로 못마땅한 심정을 표현하기도 합니다. 뭐, 그럴 수도 있는 일이지요.
Some leave derogatory comments. And that is also their choice.
그러나 여러 제 동영상 중에 유독 반대표가 많으며 부정적인 댓글이 많은 동영상이 바로 방언에 대한 동영상입니다.
But it’s funny to see that my video about speaking in tongues is especially disliked and criticized.
저는 대부분의 우리네 교인들이 하는 방언이 성령이 주시는 방언이 아니라고 생각하며, 그에 대한 성경적인 근거와 더불어 그동안 경험을 바탕으로 주장해오고 있어요.
I believe most tongues people claim to have received are fake; and I’ve provided many proofs from the Bible as well as my own experience.
오늘도 어떤 이가 댓글을 올렸습니다. 그런 동영상을 그만 올리는 것이, 제 영혼이 사는 길이라고 말이죠.
And someone left a comment today: “Stopping this nonsense (as in uploading my videos) is the only way your souls will service.”
그래서 오늘은 우리네 교인들의 방언이 성령이 주시는 것이 아니라는 근거에 대해 살펴보고 싶습니다.
So I’d like to talk about speaking in tongues and why they are not from Holy Spirit.
우리네 교인들이 방언하는 목적이 비성경이다.
The reason for people speaking in tongues is unbiblical.
그러므로 방언은 믿는 자들을 위하지 아니하고 믿지 아니하는 자들을 위하는 표적이나 예언은 믿지 아니하는 자들을 위하지 않고 믿는 자들을 위함이니라 그러므로 온 교회가 함께 모여 다 방언으로 말하면 알지 못하는 자들이나 믿지 아니하는 자들이 들어와서 너희를 미쳤다 하지 아니하겠느냐(고전14:22,23)
22 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers. 23 So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? (1 Corinthians 14: 22-23)
만일 누가 방언으로 말하거든 두 사람이나 많아야 세 사람이 차례를 따라 하고 한 사람이 통역할 것이요 만일 통역하는 자가 없으면 교회에서는 잠잠하고 자기와 하나님께 말할 것이요(고전14:27.28)
27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret.28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. (1 Corinthians 14: 27-28)
방언은 외국어라는 뜻입니다. 사도행전의 시작은 사도들과 120여명의 제자들이 마가의 다락방에서 전심으로 기도했을 때 성령이 임재하는 증거로 방언을 하기 시작했습니다.
“Tongue” means foreign language. People from the Book of Acts started to speak in tongues when they gathered and prayed with all their hearts.
그러자 디아스포라로 흩어진 유대인들이 예루살렘에 순례를 하러 와서, 그들의 고향 말을 듣고 화들짝 놀랐지요. 자기가 살던 나라의 말을 전혀 하지 못하는 사람들의 입에서 그들이 사용하던 언어가 흘러나왔기 때문입니다.
Israelites were surprised when they heard this; they separated during diaspora and had language barriers.
방언을 주시는 목적은, 하나님을 모르는 세상 사람들에게 하나님이 살아계신 존재감을 드러내는 수단으로 주신 겁니다.
They reason for receiving tongues is to let people know God is real and alive among us.
그래서 바울은 방언이 믿지 아니하는 자들을 위하는 표적이며, 교이들이 교회에서 방언을 하면 세상 사람들이 미쳤다고 할 것이라며 부정적으로 말하고 있습니다.
So paul says the tongues are the sign for non-believers; he also said people speaking in tongues in church would be considered mad.
굳이 방언을 하려면 통역하는 사람을 동반해서 교회에 덕을 세우라고 권면하며, 통역하지 못한다면 교회에서 하지 말라고 하고 있죠.
Paul urges people to have an interpreter; he urges people not to use if there is no one to interpret what it means?
그런데 우리네 교인들은 어떻게 방언을 합니까?
How do Christians speak in tongues?
그들은 방언을 통역하는 은사를 지닌 사람들과 같이 방언을 하는 이들을 본 적이 없습니다.
I’ve nver seen them speak in tongues with an interpreter.
그들은 기도할 때 방언을 사용할 뿐입니다. 그래서 무슨 기도를 하는지 그 내용을 자신도 모르죠.
They only use when they pray; the downside of it is that no one knows what the prayer is about, even the prayers themselves.
기도란 하나님과 교제하는 수단입니다.
Prayer is the way to communicate with God.
그런데 하나님이 무슨 말을 자신에게 하시는 지도 모르는 말을 하는 것이 어떻게 교제하는 행위입니까?
But how would you communicate with God, if you don’t even know what you say?
우리네 교인들은 방언 외에 다른 성령의 능력이 없다.
Most “tongue-speakers” do not have other spiritual power.
상당수의 우리네 교인들이 방언기도를 하고 있습니다.
Many Christians speak in tongues when they pray.
방언은 성령이 주신 선물입니다.
A tongue is given by Holy Spirit as a gift.
마가의 다락방에서 사도들과 120여명의 제자들이 전심으로 성령을 구하는 기도를 할 때, 성령께서 임재 하셔서 방언을 하기 시작했죠.
In Mark John’s room, Holy Spirit came to people when they sought him, the apostles and 120 followers.
그래서 그들은 방언을 기도할 때 오래 기도하거나 다른 이들에게 자신의 영적 능력을 드러내기 위해 방언을 사용했을까요? 아니요.
Afterwards, did they use the ability to edify themselves of their faith? Absolutely not.
그들은 방언을 통해 예수 그리스도의 영이 자신에게 임했다는 것을 증명하는 수단으로 사용했습니다.
That phenomenon was used as a sign that Holy Spirit was within them.
그러나 방언은 성령이 인도하는 영혼구원사역의 시작이었을 뿐입니다.
Speaking in tongues was a mere beginning of soul-saving ministry.
그들은 방언이나 예언의 은사를 드러내면서, 기적과 이적으로 귀신을 쫓아내고 귀신들이 일으킨 정신질환이나 고질병을 치유하면서 예수가 그리스도이심을 전파하고 초대교회를 세워나갔습니다.
They showed signs of Holy Spirit, casting out demons, healing illnesses caused by them, and spreading gospel.
대부분의 유대인들이 유대교에서 기독교로 개종한 이유는 방언을 들어서가 아니라, 귀신을 쫓아내고 질병을 치유하는 것을 보고 하나님의 능력을 인정했기 때문입니다.
Many Israelites converted to Christianity not because they heard people talking in tongues but because they saw true power of God amongst the disciples.
그러나 우리네 교인들은 단지 방언만을 주구장창 할 뿐이지, 기적과 이적으로 귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 치유하면서 영혼을 구원하는 사역을 하지 않습니다.
But most Christians today only speak in tongues; they don’t carry out any other ministry the apostles and disciples did.
아니 성령께서 방언을 주신 것이 분명하다면, 성령께서 은사를 주신 목적이 무엇일까요?
If the tongues are given from Holy Spirit, what is the purpose of such gitf?
바로 귀신을 쫓아내고 귀신들이 일으킨 고질병을 치유하면서 하나님의 나라를 확장하는 것이 아니겠습니까?
Isn’t it to cast out demons and heal sick people, expanding God’s kingdom?
그러나 단지 방언만을 하고 다른 성령의 능력이 없다면, 그 방언이 어떻게 성령께서 주시는 방언이 되겠습니까?
How can the tongues be God-given, if there is no other functions/power you can wield?
우리네 교인들은 미혹의 영의 속임수를 분별하는 영적 능력이 없다.
Christians today do not have the ability to discern spiritual power.
거짓 그리스도들과 거짓 선지자들이 일어나 큰 표적과 기사를 보여 할 수만 있으면 택하신 자들도 미혹하리라(마24:24)
24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24: 24)
구약성경에는 거짓예언자들이 등장해서 참 예언자를 박해하고 옥에 넣습니다.
In the Old Testament, false prophets appear, sending the true prophets to prison.
거짓예언자들은 미혹의 영이 그들의 입에 들어가서 귀신들이 하는 예언을 하는 이들이죠.
False prophets are the ones that prophecy through spirits of falsehood within them.
그렇다면 미혹의 영이 속이는 수단이 오직 예언뿐이겠습니까? 그들은 성령의 은사를 감쪽같이 속이는 데 천재들이에요.
Would prophecy the only way spirits of falsehood deceive? They can mimic every gift Holy Spirit gives.
치유의 능력도 마찬가지이죠. 무당이나 중들도 치유를 하고 이단들도 질병을 치유하고 있습니다.
Same goes for the healing power. Shamans and monks can heal people, too.
그렇다면 이들의 치유능력은 귀신의 힘을 빌린 것이 아닐까요?
Doesn’t that mean they’ve received power from demons?
우리네 교회에서 하는 내적치유가 바로 미혹의 영이 속이는 치유입니다.
Inner Healing is one of demons’ ruses.
귀신을 쫓아낸다는 능력도 미혹의 영이 속이는 일이 비일비재하죠.
It is the same with exorcism. Spirits of falsehood can fool you with many things.
귀신들이 소리를 지르고 몸을 뻗대면 귀신이 나갔다고 주장하지만, 집에 돌아오면 다시 예전의 상태로 돌아가는 일이 대부분입니다.
Many think demons leave when the possessed twist and turn during invocation, but the symptoms come back when they return home.
이렇게 귀신들은 성령의 능력이나 은사를 속이는 데 천재죠.
Demons are brilliant when it comes to deceiving people by mimicking Holy Spirit’s gifts.
그런데 방언을 속이지 못할까요?
So mimicking tongues would be a piece of cake.
제 사역은 성령이 내주하는 기도훈련을 시키는 것이지만, 귀신을 쫓아내고 귀신들이 일으킨 정신질환과 고질병을 치유하는 것이 사역의 중심에 있습니다.
My ministry is to train people to pray for Holy Spirit.
그동안 제가 수백 명의 귀신이 잠복한 사람들에게서 귀신을 쫓아내면서 귀신들이 하는 방언을 수도 없이 들어보았습니다.
I’ve heard so many “tongues” spokent while I was casting demons out.
그러나 자신의 방언을 철썩 같이 믿고 있는 사람들이 귀신을 쫓아내면서 영혼을 구원하는 사역을 하면서, 자신의 방언이 성령의 공급하심을 증명하나요?
Are people able to prove and distinguish true tongues from the ones of demons? Do they even bother?
우리가 이것을 말하거니와 사람의 지혜가 가르친 말로 아니하고 오직 성령께서 가르치신 것으로 하니 영적인 일은 영적인 것으로 분별하느니라(고전2:13)
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. (1 Corinthians 2: 13)
어떤 사람에게는 능력 행함을, 어떤 사람에게는 예언함을, 어떤 사람에게는 영들 분별함을, 다른 사람에게는 각종 방언 말함을, 어떤 사람에게는 방언들 통역함을 주시나니(고전12:10)
10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12: 10)
분별의 은사는 성령이 주시는 선물입니다.
Gift of discernment comes from Holy Spirit.
분별의 은사는 성령과 미혹의 영의 역사를 분별하는 겁니다.
Discernment lets you distinguish true signs of the Spirit from the ones of demons.
그래서 자신의 방언이 성령이 주시는 것이라고 굳게 믿고 있는 사람들이 영적으로 분별하는 능력이 있습니까?
So… do people with tongues have the gift of discernment?
솔직히 말해서 미혹의 영의 정체와 계략을 알지도 못하고, 귀신을 한 번도 쫓아내지 못한 이들이 대부분입니다.
Most people are not even aware of who spirits of falsehood are or what they do; they have no power to fight those demons off.
지금까지 말한 필자의 근거는 성경의 말씀과 필자가 귀신을 쫓아내면서 증명하고 있습니다.
I, for instance, keep proving how I’m doing, through the Bible and invocation prayers.
그러나 저의 주장을 무턱대고 비난하거나 인신공격성 발언을 일삼는 이들은, 그들의 주장에 성경적인 근거도 대지 못하고 귀신과 싸운 경험도 없습니다. 그러면서 자신의 주장이 옳다고 핏대를 세우고 있으니 기가 막힙니다.
But many who oppose my claims and criticize me do not have any biblical proofs or ability to fight against demons; but they all tell me I’m wrong.
이는 만약 자신의 방언이 성령이 주시는 것이 아니면 그동안 믿어왔던 신앙이 한순간에 무너질까봐 두려워서 악을 쓰고 있는 것이 아니고 무엇입니까?
This is nothing but being defensive, afraid to find out your faith was never approved by God, is it not?
그러나 심판대 앞에 서면 진실이 밝혀질 겁니다.
You’ll know when you stand in front of God.
그러나 그 때는 더 이상 기회가 주어지지 않는다는 것을 잊지마시기 바랍니다.
But please remember; it’d be too late by then.
