Unlocking the Power of Chrome: Issue 40

It is a beautiful, sunny, Monday morning, and time for another issue of Unlocking the Power of Chrome.

In the last issue, I brought you the extension called Boomerang that helps you power up your Gmail application within the Chrome browser.

The extension I am going to cover today also deals with Gmail.

Even if you don't use Gmail as your main email provider, it is still good to have an account so you can take advantage of all the other products that Google has to offer.

Checker Plus

Checker Plus can be added to Chrome by visiting the Chrome Webstore here.

As you can see by visiting the webpage, the creator of Checker Plus has also developed a couple of other extensions.

Checker Plus allows you to manage your emails from the extension bar without ever having to open a Gmail window.

Through the extension, you can even manage multiple Gmail accounts, for example, if you had one for work and one as a personal account.

Checker Plus gives you the ability to read, reply, listen-to, delete, and get new email notifications all without having to open up Gmail.

I use Gmail for both work and personal communication constantly all day. This extension has been a lifesaver when I am working in a specific window and I don't want to have to switch browsers or tabs to check my other accounts or perform Gmail tasks.
