Yesterday we caught the TGV to Lyon for the day. The train ride goes through such lovely countryside, plus I have always loved train travel, find it so relaxing and fulfilling watching the world go by.

A day was not enough to see very much of Lyon, and it's charms have made me want to go back for a longer stay. The architecture, the streets, the markets and of course the amazing Notre-Dame de Fourviere (the praying hill) which is the centre of the spiritual and cultural life of Lyon. You can catch the cable car up the hill if you don't feel like the long climb

We had lunch at a great find, a restaurant with food from the Reunion islands. Everything was delicious I just wish I had a chance to try it all!

I loved the mix of different architecture that surprised you around every corner

It was only a week after the passing of of the legendary chef Paul Bocuse, the 'pope of gastronomy' and the week before thousands flocked to the food markets 'Les Halles' that are named after him and there is this likeness of him on the wall

If you do get a chance do visit Lyon, an amazing city. Do stay a few days, at least. This was my first attempt at including multiple photos! I am not so technologically savvy, and rather new here. Do let me know if it worked and was enjoyable to you. Thanks

Ontem pegamos o TGV para Lyon durante o dia. O passeio de trem passa por uma paisagem tão encantadora, além de ter sempre adorei as viagens de trem, achado tão relaxante e cumprindo observando o mundo passar.

Um dia não foi suficiente para ver muito de Lyon, e os encantos me fizeram querer voltar para uma estadia mais longa. A arquitetura, as ruas, os mercados e, claro, a incrível Notre-Dame de Fourviere (colina praying) que é o centro da vida espiritual e cultural de Lyon. Você pode pegar o teleférico até a colina se você não sentir a longa subida

A atmosfera interna é bastante surpreendente. O exterior tinha imagens tão deslumbrantes também.

Nós almoçamos em um ótimo achado, um restaurante com comida das Ilhas Reunião. Tudo estava delicioso, eu só queria ter uma chance de experimentar tudo!

Adorei a mistura de arquitetura diferente que te surpreendeu em cada esquina.

Foi apenas uma semana após a passagem do lendário chef Paul Bocuse, o "Papa da gastronomia" e, a semana antes de milhares, acudiram aos mercados de comida 'Les Halles' que são nomeados depois dele e há essa semelhança dele na parede

Se você tiver chance de visitar Lyon, uma cidade maravilhosa. Fique alguns dias, pelo menos. Esta foi a minha primeira tentativa de incluir várias fotos! Não sou tão tecnicamente experiente, e bastante novo aqui. Deixe-me saber se funcionou e foi agradável para você. obrigado
