RE: Yangon Myanmar 21st Street View cityscapephotography

Ah so you went to Yangon for your visa run. How was it? And isn't the visa quite expensive ($50)? We're considering our options tonight for our trip in two/three weeks, so hopefully you can respond. 😊

I like the place - yes, the visa is $50+ and easy to get online in advance. The Embassy is a joy - quick in and out both days. No need of proof of onward travel. They need to see your flight back into Thailand only. Where else are you thinking of?

Yes, but for a two/three day visit we rather save the $50 for when we decide to do a longer trip to the country. Our other options are Ho Chin Minh City (no visa) and Vientiane ($35 visa for Becca). We're going to research and compare with accommodation and things to do etc. Yangon will have to wait. Thanks for getting back 😊

You can do HCMC in two days. If you take the early flight on the first day and the late flight on the second. I have gone to Vientiane on the night train - love it - and also can be done in 2 days that way.

Since we only have a weekend, we thought of those two cities. We'll take a flight as we don't have much time to do anything else (train or bus). We did the night train to Chiang Mai - love the experience too! It must be quite similar 😊
