Suspicious Observers

-very quiet conditions on the sun with no solar flares and the active regions are in decay
-solar wind speed and density have returned to normal levels and so to has the geomagnetic conditions, but this will not last long as solar winds speed and density is expected to increase in the next couple of days
-Mt Shinmoedake in Japan exploded sending ash and particulate 4.5 km into the atmosphere
-A paper that shows that peer review journals have inconsistent standards depending on the argument being presented in relation to dark matter and I quote from their conclusions, "Having said all the above, we cannot avoid to ask
ourselves how could such a result have been published at all, wondering how a similar paper would have been received if the conclusion were the other way around. This points to the responsibility of journals that at present adopt standards orders of magnitude lower to publish results favouring the dark matter hypothesis compared to the ones required to papers claiming the opposite. Our sad conclusion is that science cannot progress this way."

What does it all mean?

A quiet sun means a weakening magnetosphere which means an increase in cosmic rays and this is of concern, not just for volcanoes with silica rich magma, but for general human health altogether as cosmic rays can cause mutations within one's DNA. As the solar wind has slowed down we see the effects of the last geomagnetic storm charging the ionosphere with massive lightening moving across the US - more on this later

The Oppenheimer Ranch Project

-Mt Shimoedake explodes with terrific force and is showing itself to be potentially far worse than Mt Kilauea as far as explosive force while Mt Merapi still continues to rumble away spewing ash and particulate continuously into the atmosphere.
-multiple hail reports throughout the US in Oklahoma, Denver, Chicago, Kansas City, DC area
-South Africa expected to drop in temperature to -3C to -5Cs a cold front moves in
-Mt Kilauea has 18th fissure opens up with an explosion spewing pyroclastic ballistics hundreds of feet into the air

What does it all mean?

With three major volcanoes rumbling away we are seeing a lot of ash, particulate, aerosols, sulfur dioxide and CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere thereby increasing the albedo effect. Mt Merapi which does tend to erupt every 5-10 years is also believed to be due for its 1000 year Plinian explosion which could be of a category 7 in the Volcano Explosive Index(VEI) and if so will induce an immediate cooling upon the planet. Mt Kilauea in Hawaii is showing more and more activity and explosions which suggest that though the caldera has shrunk more than a 1000 ft down, pressure is building up. My concern here is that an explosion here could cause a small part of the island to drop into the ocean producing a tsunami. Meanwhile in Japan, Mt Shinmoedake erupted with such ferocity that Japanese officials fear it will have devastating consequences for months to come. Lightening was seen in the plume of Mt Shinmoedake and is not that uncommon as we are talking about cosmic rays(highly energized particles) activating the silica rich magma so it should not be a surprise the highly energetic events such as lightening is seen.

In the US reports of hail are accompanying reports of lightning and according to www.lightningmaps.org some 30,000 lightning strikes an hour are occurring in the US. Watch animation of lightning strikes in the US here

What does it mean?

All the talk you hear in the mainstream regarding melting Arctic ice, and temperature spikes that are described as "tropical" are falsehoods, plain and simple. I am particularly fond of the two ships sent to the arctic to study global warming who could not get there for they got stuck in the ice.
