Today, I would like to introduce my friends to the ancient Chinese fantasy book "Mountain and Sea Classic". In the next issue, I will introduce the monsters in detail and pay attention to the next issue.
The mountain and sea classics are 75 species of strange monsters recorded in the Book of Mountains and Seas. Shan Hai Jing is an ancient book of pre-Qin Dynasty and the oldest geography book rich in myths and legends. It mainly describes the ancient geography, products, myths, witchcraft, religion and so on, as well as ancient history, medicine, folk customs, nationalities and so on. In addition, the Book of Mountains and Seas also records some strange events in the form of running accounts, and there is still a big debate about these events.

The Book of Mountains and Seas contains 18 articles, about 31000 words. There are 5 Tibetan Sutra, 4 overseas Sutra, 5 Sea Sutra and 4 Dahuang Sutra. The Book of Arts and Literature of Hanshu has 13 articles, which do not take into account the Great waste Sutra and the Sea Classic. The contents of the book are divided into 5 pieces of the Wusang Mountain Sutra and 4 pieces of the overseas Sutra as a group, 4 pieces of the Sea Sutra as a group, and 5 articles of the Dahuang Sutra and 1 piece of the Sea Sutra at the end of the book as a group. The organizational structure of each group has its own beginning and end, back and forth, and has its own purpose. The group of Wuzangshan Sutra is divided into sections according to the orientation order of south, west, north, east and middle, each of which is divided into several sections, and the previous section and the latter section are carried on with the relevant sentences, so that the relationship between the sections is very clear.
The book records all these things by region and by time. Most of the things you remember start from the south, then to the west, to the north, and finally to the middle of the mainland (Kyushu). Kyushu is surrounded by the East China Sea, the West Sea, the South China Sea and the North Sea. Ancient China has always regarded the Book of Mountains and Seas as a history, and it is a necessary reference book for all generations of Chinese historians. Since the book has been written for a long time, even when Si Maqian wrote Historical Records, he also believed: "to Yu Ben Ji," all the monsters in the Shan Hai Jing. I dare not say it. "it is a valuable reference for the study of ancient history, geography, culture, Chinese and foreign transportation, folklore, mythology and so on. The regional scope of Shan Hai Jing: the Nanshan Classic starts from the Zhoushan Islands of Zhejiang Province in the east, west to the west of Hunan, and south to the South China Sea of Guangdong, including Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong and Hunan provinces. The Western Mountain Classic starts from the mountains in the east, the Yellow River between Shaanxi and Shaanxi in the south, the Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi and Gansu in the south, the northwest in Yanchi, Ningxia, and Aljinshan in Xinjiang in the north. The Northern Sutra starts in the west from Helan Mountain in Inner Mongolia and Tengger Desert in Ningxia, and to the east at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain in Hebei Province. To the north of Yinshan Mountain in Inner Mongolia. Dongshan Sutra includes present-day Shandong and the northern territory of Jiangsu and Anhui. The Zhongshan Sutra reaches the northwest edge of Sichuan Basin in the west.
