My Work (8)(dance video) – Another dance performance in Bosco Charity Association Annual Charity Ball 2017 舞蹈演出！鮑思高慈善協會週年晚宴

Last Friday, I attended the Annual Charity Ball 2017 of the Bosco Charity Association.

上星期五，我帶領了幾位舞蹈員出席鮑思高慈善協會的2017週年慈善晚宴。

The Bosco Charity Association Limited (BCA) is a non-profit organization established in 2009. It was established by a group of old boys who graduated from the Salesian group of schools in Hong Kong. The Salesian group, or Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), was founded by Italian priest Saint John Bosco in the late 19th century.

鮑思高慈善協會成立於2009年，是香港一個非牟利團體，它是由一班由自慈幼會主辦學校的校友成立的，而慈幼會，就是由19世紀的意大利天主教神父，「青年的主保聖人」聖若望鮑思高所創立。

Don Bosco, Father and teacher of Youth, was one of the greatest Roman Catholic priest. He was poor when he was small and it’s one of the reason he contributed to the work of Youth when he became a priest. He tried to come in the contact with the young people in the street. He invited those young people who had no home and living in crime to join the Sunday School and play together. In 1846, Don Bosco found a house at Valdocco, Turin in Italy. The house became the home of the young people and now is one of the headquarters of SDB.

鮑思高由於自幼家貧，故成為神父後特別致力於青少年成長的工作，他在街頭接觸那些無家可歸，活在罪惡邊緣的青少年，邀請他們參加主日聚會、一起唱歌遊戲。其後在1846年，鮑思高在都靈市的華道角區找了一個地方，成為了這些青少年的家。而這個家，在今天已是慈幼會的其中一個總部。

In 1857, Don Bosco found SDB and contribute into the services to help the poor young people. Today, there are 16000 consecrated life in SDB in 128 countries. The members of SDB is over 400,000. Since the 20th century, SDB entered Hong Kong. There are now 13 secondary schools opened by the SDB. The Bosco Charity Association is founded in this background.

1857年鮑思高成式成立慈幼會，為世界的兒童、青年福利及教育而貢獻。在今天慈幼會共有一萬六千位會士，分佈於128個國家，並有四十多萬成員。慈幼會在20世紀初期傳入香港，至今香港共有13所中學是由慈幼會開辦的。鮑思高慈善協會 (BCA)，就是於這個背景成立。

Bosco Charity Association has the mission to carry on the good work of Don Bosco to help the deprived and neglected children and youths, especially the ethnic minorities in HK. Someone may say that there must be something behind in those non-profit organization. I don’t know if it is true or not. I only know that their works really help the young people.

BCA一直致力於香港的青少年事務，對支援貧窮青少年的生活及學習不遺餘力，近年尤其大力參與支持少數族群的青少年工作。這個時候肯定會有人說這些所謂慈善機構內裡肯定有不可告人的秘密，但這些我就不說了，至少他們的活動的確讓很多青少年受惠。

The annual ball was held in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. It is one of the most important hotel in Hong Kong. Nearly all leaders in China stay in this hotel when they come HK. And my work in the ball? To give the guests a dance performance.

這次的週年晚宴於香港君悅酒店舉行，君悅酒店是香港其中一家最重要的酒店，基本上差不多每一位國家領導人到港住的都是這家酒店。而我這次的工作，就是帶領幾位舞蹈員作舞蹈演出。

I had attended a lot of such kind of dinners so I had no feeling about it already. But the items for charity bidding attracted me. There is not only Red wine, antiques. I saw guitar of Ed Sheeran, Microphone of Adele, and also the spot shoes of Raul from Real Madrid. They were really attractive to me but the min. bids were expensive…..

其實這些晚宴我已見得太多，沒有什麼感覺了，但是，這次晚宴的慈善拍賣卻吸引了我的眼球。它們不止有那些名酒古董只有上等人才懂的東西，我還見到有Ed Sheeran用過的吉他、Adele用過的咪高峰、皇家馬德里球星魯爾穿過的球鞋等等！噢！太有愛了！但拍賣價亦很貴，我還是看看就算了……

There was no special request for the dance performance, just a Hip Hop dance. We were used to it that a dance performance is only a part to fill the rundown haha. Basically no one will really watch the dance in such kind of annual ball. But we still try our best to give them a good performance.

這次的舞蹈沒有什麼要求，只是一首普通的Hip Hop舞蹈表演，其實大家都已經心中有數，我們的表演只是其中的串場活動，基本上真的會看表演的賓客加起來應該都沒有10個。但我們亦都盡心準備，務求有一個精彩的表演給大家。

Although Grant Hyatt Hong Kong is a 5 stars hotel, the dressing room beside the stage is quite small…really HK style… We had our final preparation in dressing room and now come to our performance. Dance can’t be described by words, please enjoy the video.
雖說君悅酒店是5星級的酒店，但原來舞台旁的化妝室挺小的，完全符合香港特色，我們在化妝做最後的準備，然後上台演出了！舞蹈是不能用文字去解釋的，大家看視頻吧！

We enjoyed hot pot after performance! For me, hot pot with beer is much more enjoying and relaxing than a dinner with red wine of a ball!

演出後，我們去了吃火鍋雞煲！對我來說，火鍋雞煲配一罐啤酒，比一頓晚宴佳餚來得更自由自在！
