Beautiful Upper Castle (Vysehrad) in Prague - 布拉格-美麗的高堡

Hello friends,

Another location that I would highly recommend during your visit to Prague is its Upper Castle (Vysehrad). Originally constructed in the tenth century the fort was used for a wide range of different purposes from a residence for kings to a training facility for the thirty-year wars. Vysehrad is not one of the prime tourist locations such as Prague Castle or Charles bridge as it is out of downtown. However, it is easily reachable by public transportation in no time. Situated within the castle is the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul and Vysehrad Cemetary containing the remains of many famous people from Czech history, among them Alphonse Mucha, Karel Capek, Bedrich Smetana and Antonin Dvorak. It is a perfect place for a great day out for a little bit of culture and historic education with some stunning views of Prague. This truly is a location worth your visit.
