That's interesting, we were talking to a Chinese friend the other day and we were talking about how we were debating whether to move out of the city to better public schools or to stay in the city and pay for private school. She suggested that we just get someone's address from the suburbs so we could send our son to school in the suburbs, where she had moved to access the good free public schools.
She was clearly thinking like someone living in China, haha... Where do you live? Does it work like that?
She is from China.
In MA, she said she knew a lot of people who did that. Technically it has to be a form of fraud but people often do it, the differences in quality between neighboring districts can be very large.
