秋风起蟹脚痒，吃大闸蟹的时间到啦！ Hairy Crab Season Is Coming!
Late September is time for hairy crab! It is a type of crab that is raised in freshwater lakes, and the water quality is very important for those crabs: only very clean water can foster crabs with snow white belly and golden crab claw.
要说在国外待的这些年有一大遗憾，就是吃不上大闸蟹。虽然我当年住的那个村说小也不算小，唐人街也有中国超市什么都有，但是活的大闸蟹毕竟从国内运过来也不太现实。每年不是夏天就是圣诞回国，正好和大闸蟹季节擦肩而过，只能在当年的msn space，微博和朋友圈饱饱眼福。回国以后其他的不说，至少大闸蟹是不会错过啦。
大闸蟹这些年从江浙沪包邮区专享逐渐在全国推广开，据说远至辽宁省山东省甚至青海省都在养殖大闸蟹，比如辽宁的盘锦蟹据说就非常不错。要论名声在外的正宗产地还是要属阳澄湖的大闸蟹，可惜因为湖太小，洗澡蟹太多 ，就连认识的昆山朋友也无法分辨是否是正宗的阳澄湖大闸蟹，都说本地人都不一定买的到正宗的非洗澡蟹，戒指什么的根本没有用，靠外观分辨更加成为一门玄学。
阳澄湖的可遇不可求，退而求其次太湖大闸蟹也能达到青背白肚金爪黄毛的优质标准，而且普遍个头比较大，4两公蟹算得上大闸蟹里的大块头了也就几十块，算得上是普通人家的性价比之选哦。今年9月23日大闸蟹正式开捕，在开捕以后今年大闸蟹第一波开吃咯！

光顾着吃都快忘了拍照了，就拍了一张蟹黄图，没想到9月的螃蟹黄也这么丰富，真是意外的收获哦！

Crabs any kind are fairly expensive in the US. And they are frozen.
How much you pay for all those fresh crabs?
For hairy crab the price depends on the sizes, for the ones I have is less than 10 bucks each, and for smaller sizes are about 5 bucks each.(hairy crab is more expensive than other crabs as it grows slowly)
In India it is even difficult to find especially the bigger one and it's expensive too. Average price is $10 per piece (7 inches lenght and 1.7 inches height)

Interesting post as usual - I think the best part was definitely the video of the crab crawling out of the bag!! I've had similar experiences trying to catch a crab running across my lawn after the box tipped over!
