POEM: DIMINISH (accidental double post fix)
On the whole
There is a way that allows us
To be filled until the whole
Of who we are diminishes
Encircled in a world where
We feel like we don’t fit in
Alienated yet delighted
Because after the pain
Of new beginnings
We know we will grow
Leaping advancing
Our failures
Grasping possessing
Our limitations
Each acquisition
Is a gap in which
We climb to a knew height
A new us
Is it really a new us?
If we are all on this ascent
Are we growing closer?
Yes and yes
