SCRATCH that

I just discovered this thing called SCRATCH. Is a simple programming language for kids but actually rather complex or at least can be used to do very complext stuff.

It was recommended to me by someone as a newbie entry tool into the world of programming and I had a lot of fun with it when I finally sat down to try it out. Which took me about...3 weeks :)
Why?

Firstly, it was humbling or at least I feel a little weird to try a program that is used by KIDS. Literally 5years olds are learning to code with this..and me I guess? I had this image of me sitting at the kids table everyone laughing at me.
GaryVee always says that people never start cause they don't like to be seen in the dirt or down the ladder. I didn't think it applied to me but there you have it. I felt humiliated by this image and the fact that my friend thought - and he was right - that my level is basically drag and drop some color coded things to see how programming works.

Now that I played with it some more I understand that while it is designed for kids to grasp it, you can do some very adults things with it. I actually made a little porno game cause why not. I kid but the storyboard was rather porny :D

All in all, I am happy that I tried and amazed AGAIN that it takes me so long to start. My head doesn't compute correctly how much I'll enjoy and overestimates how hard it will be...Lesson learned?
