You might've heard Coinbase added a bunch of coins to their website, but haven't listed any of them yet, only as a possibility for users to choose their favorites and watch their price evolution on the dashboard, for example.

It is very likely that from the long list of coins that were added, one of them being STEEM, one or more will be chosen in their next addition to the listed coins on Coinbase.

If you are a STEEM user or investor, you want it to be available for trading in as many places as possible. And Coinbase is not merely another place. It's probably the most common, known, trusted, and easy to use entry point for regular people to the crypto world.

And guess what is STEEM and its ecosystem of numerous decentralized applications well suited for? To be a great bridge for a regular person not familiar to crypto, to this world.

Why? Because they can use many application types which they are already accustomed to, with a minimal effort to bridge over.

In time, they can learn more about what that reward they get is, so they understand STEEM the token, STEEM POWER the "stake", STEEM Dollars, the token which they can convert for 1 USD worth of STEEM. They can also learn about the differences between PoW, PoS and DPoS, and what witnesses are, if they are interested.

Little by little they can discover the STEEM economy, and the crypto economy, at a grander level.

One can ask (him)herself what can they do to help improve the chances of STEEM to be listed on Coinbase?

First of all, if you are a user or investor in STEEM, or simply think it has its place on Coinbase as a listed coin, you should consider adding it to your favorites in Coinbase. This way, Coinbase will have an idea how many are really interested in STEEM the coin/token, even if it's not listed.

@therealwolf explained the steps you need to take very well in his post. If you follow his instructions, you might even get a nice upvote from him. :)

I did that, stared STEEM in the list of coins (which means STEEM is now one of my favorite coins on Coinbase):

Then, if you go to your dashboard on Coinbase, you will see STEEM there, as I do. Notice the STEEM price and chart at the right.

But there's more we can do to make Coinbase aware of the important userbase we have and the active community. @timcliff has started a new #SteemBlast event, with the purpose of bringing Coinbase's attention to STEEM.
