ColorChallenge - FridaySkyBlue - Young baranta warriors in blue
Dear Steemies, today is blue, FridaySkyBlue, and I've just found some special pictures in my archives. Recently I frequently photographed events, like friendly meetings or harvest holidays. These photos were taken in Székesfehérvár, at the day of Árpád, our great ancestor, who came and brought back his people - warriors and their family - to the Carpatian Basin in 895.
Well, these costumes are not too old, but they have a very spectacular blue color. Baranta is a popular martial art and sport in Hungary and based upon old fighting types like archery, fencing or wrestling.

Well, I am a day late, but I love this representation of blue, what a day out it must have been. It's amazing when you think of times of old when the colour blue was worn, how it must have dazzled. No wonder it was often one of the more expensive colours to own and have it just shines when in nature's verdant greens.
