ColorChallenge-Blue Friday/Lovely Norwegian knitting @lamexicana

Hello Amigos!

I got these beautiful BLUE handmade socks as a christmas gift, and I can’t stop wearing them. For those who don’t know, Norway is famous for it’s large knitting traditions and production of good quality wool/yarn in the world. Almost every Norwegian woman/girl that I know are really talented and can knit a wonderful pieces in hours.

These socks In specific have an old Norwegian patron called Selburose, a rose pattern from Selbu (Norway), and it’s the traditional pattern used for winter clothing.

Selburoses is probably the most commonly used knitting pattern in Norway, and is also used outside the country as a symbol of Norway and Norwegian folk art.
