Blue Friday: The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a well-equipped mobile audio/visual studio that travels the USA and is designed to provide students, their schools and communities with performances, demonstrations, remote recordings, and studio sessions customized for their needs, levels of experience and interest.
Last March at South By Southwest in Austin, TX, the Bus was in use for the SXSW Nordic Music & Sauna Experience, Radio Helsinki Show A/V Recording where Nordic bands Small Time Giants (Greenland/Denmark), Tuvaband (Norway), Peppina (Finland), and Tuomo & Markus (Finland) each performed a couple of stripped-down songs for rebroadcast on Radio Helsinki (Finland). I got to film the performances for Nordic Spotlight and had a great time -- it was a wonderful highlight at SXSW for me.
