Color Challenge - Monday Red - Tattered Fallen Leaf

Hi Steemit friends,

For my entry into today's colorchallenge, I am sharing a photo that I took last fall while the leaves were changing colours and falling off of the trees. This leaf in particular was from a maple tree - a favorite among us Canadians as these trees provide us with our highly touted sugary maple syrup. I also like the shape of these leaves the most - the Canadian flag shows off a very visually pleasing perfectly symmetrical version of this leaf.

Because I found this particular leaf on the ground, it is quite tattered, as you can see. The decreasing temperatures of the fall air, the early-morning and late-night frost, heavy rains, as well as violent winds all take their tole on the leaves that's for sure. That's nature for you! I'm just glad that the trees give us something so nice to admire while we have to deal with all of the unpleasant weather!
