A Bug's Tale:Comedyopenmic 17 first entry

Ronny Roachass born on the 5th of December 2017 is the 12th child of a 30 egg laying spree. Born in a rough neighbourhood in Bayelsa, Nigeria. Not much is known of his siblings due to a wall gecko incident that left him as the sole surviving child of his parent.

Being a cockroach in today's society is not easy; your main source of livelihood comes from the crumbs and garbage left over by humans and rats(if they don't eat you).. There's never an "easy day" in their life so its no surprise that most of them resort to criminal activities. Ronny being an only child was relatively pampered and somehow kept away from the evils for most of his childhood.

Ronny's dad was a winged night worker, he would fly around kitchen stores and abandoned dining areas, scouring for food and leaving a trail of infections behind. On one of his missions, he ran into some trouble and got caught up in a duel with an outside roach; he never came back.

The loss of the bread winner to the family took its toll on the young Ronny beyond the physical of this budding young adult at the time. Ronny recalled sharing his dream of taking his old man to the Bahamas for some time under the sun and it was at that moment I saw a very human side of this individual as a single tear drop streamed slowly down his face.

Ronny recalls his early years as a kid was marred by bullies at Roaching School as his father never taught him to defend himself(Roach Culture) and his love life was nomadic, with the dashing roach being a revolving door for the females(mostly his cousins).

Three Months into his life, his mum died in an ill fated attempt to scavenge food from a pile of shit in a toilet, she was accidentally flushed down the drain and died in the most gruesome way known. Ronny was devastated. Ronny recalls how he cried knowing his last surviving loved one passed away.

Life took its turn for worst when two weeks late, Ronny discovered his girlfriend then was pregnant for 25 of his kids. Abortions aren't as easy with Roaches as they are with Mosquitoes so risking her life was out of the question for this emotionally damaged man(Roach Adult). His only other option was to work and work hard he did.

Despite his Roach College qualification, he couldn't land any white collar job to fend for his girl and impending babies, so he resorted to doing menial jobs and working on his music career by performing in bars and clubs simultaneously.

Life took an unexpected turn when his children were born, Ronny simply wasn't making enough to cater for their needs. His Child hood friend who had already developed wings by then was a full fledged winged night worker and was doing quite well for himself and that was how Ronny was introduced to a life of crime.

It was right before his last mission that I caught up with him, Ronny who was at this moment a hardened Winged Infector was killed by the underside of my slippers in brutal fashion after he told me this story. In his final moments, he stated how he didn't want this life of crime but circumstances led him to this point. He begged me to tell his children he loved and that he did all this wrong to give them a better life, after which he shit himself and died.

After hearing this touching story, I went out to buy bug spray, in the event I run into any of his kids. So ends the story of Ronny The Belligerent, a victim of circumstance.
