I think the idea is to teach kids that there is no logic or reason to life at all. You can be in 2 places at the same time or in no place at all. You can both lose something and simultaneously have it under your hat and though you may not walk, talk or look like a pony, you can still be a damn pony;)
It's either that or both the author and the proofreader were pixilated.
