First Appearance Friday ~ IRON FIST
Are you a fan of the Marvel Netflix Universe?!? Which technically is the same universe as the MCU on the big screen. (I’m so behind on these series...like super behind)
Although I feel they’ve done a poor job of portraying that...this is a topic for another day though. Anywho...if you are, chances are you’ve been introduced to Iron Fist on the boobtube. Marvel has tied him into The Defenders along with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage.
Whether you are familiar or not...this is why I’m here. To enlighten you a bit on this week’s, First Appearance Friday! Iron Fist first made his comic book debut way back in May of 1974 in Marvel Premiere #15.
Marvel Premiere was sort of an anthology book. It was mainly there to introduce or bring back a character, and gauge the interest to see if they could support their own title...which Iron Fist later got.
Let’s take a peek at my copy of Marvel Premiere #15. It’s in decent shape. Probably worth about $250-$300. If I were to have a CGC 9.8, those suckers fetch around 4K!!!
Iron Fist is the other half of Danny Rand. He was created by Roy Thomas and Gail Kane. Danny is a master of martial arts and the wielder of a mystical force known as the Iron Fist, which allows him to summon and focus his chi. Exciting!!!
Throughout the years he’s had several different titles...even teaming up with best bud Luke Cage for the Power Man & Iron Fist title and the Heroes For Hire title.
There have been many cool collectibles throughout the years representing Iron Fist in not only his green suit...but his red and white duds as well. From action figures, to statues, to Funko Pops...there are some awesome representations of you are a fan. Take a peek!!!
