Unboxing Sideshow’s Harley Quinn

Man, Sideshow Collectibles has just been rapid fire with releasing new pieces to us as of late. I would not mind so much except...ya know...these things are like $500 bucks a pop!!! Nothing like waking up in the morning and seeing your card charged for 7 massive statues for several grand...a few times a month...ugh...

Anyway, I’m not here to tell you how my wallet is full of moths and sadness, this is a happy post to show off a brand spankin new piece we just got into our shop Conquest Comics. I’m talking about the Sideshow Harley Quinn Premium Format!!! Let’s dig in mofo’s!!!

First things first. The box is your typical Sideshow box. Weight is about 35 lbs. and while large in size, is dwarfed compared to some of the boxes I received last week. Check that post to see as I showcased 7 pieces in one post!!! But yeah, typical Sideshow box.

Upon opening it, I noticed it was in several pieces as per the usual. Base, mallet, 2 swappable heads, and body. The pieces all attach with magnets and on this one holds fairly well (unlike my older Daredevil that the magnet just “gave out” and broke off midday). The styrofoam has perfectly cut slots for each piece.

Let’s start piecing this puppy together so we can see it in all its demented and sexy glory...First thing I notice is it’s 156/2000.

The base is pretty cool as it’s wooden boards. Her body has a peg on one food that slides directly into the slot on the base. Like a glove! Next let’s check out the massive mallet. It’s got her 2 hands holding it and it attaches into the arms on the body with magnets. Holds well too!

Okay! Next up is the head...or heads! I usually love the jester style as I’m a huge fan of the original look from the animated series, but in this particular case I’m preferring the look of the unmasked. Something just seems a tad off on the masked version. What’s your thoughts?!?

I’m going to display the statue in the shop with the unmasked head. So let’s see it from all angles!!!

Overall I really like this piece but I’m a sucker for most things Harley. There are 2 versions of this piece. The regular standard can be bought at Sideshow Partners such as outer shop. Search out your local comic shop to see if they have it. Limited to 2000, it’ll set ya back $560 retail. The exclusive version is sold only through Sideshow direct and is limited to 1000. It’ll run $15 bucks more for a $575 tag as it comes with a pretty cool bonus item...

The statue is about 20” tall and about 12” wide. Weighing in at around 20 pounds, it’s fairly average in weight and size compared to other Sideshow ladies.
