Guinness Record for the biggest "Pepito" in the world. 🇻🇪

Barquisimeto (Venezuela), had the biggest celebration of this year so far on 03/03/2023, again it was present in the Guinness Record, and this time with the largest Pepito in the world.

Barquisimeto (Venezuela), tuvo el día 03/03/2023 el mayor festejo de este año hasta el momento, de nuevo estuvo presente en los Record Guiness, y esta vez con el Pepito más grande del mundo.

With 120 meters of pure flavour, the largest Pepito in the world was prepared in the eastern part of Barquisimeto, with the support of 60 restaurants, 15 of the best pepiteros in Barquisimeto, groups of cooking students (Barquisimetanos), the Iribarren Mayor's Office and guest chefs.

Con 120 metros de puro sabor, el Pepito más grande del mundo fue preparado en la zona Este de Barquisimeto, con el apoyo de 60 Restaurantes, 15 de los mejores pepiteros de Barquisimeto, grupos de estudiantes de cocina (Barquisimetanos), la Alcaldía de Iribarren y chefs invitados.

Pepito preparation began at 5 p.m. and concluded at exactly 8:23 p.m., being fully measured, confirmed and recognized by the Guinness Record as the largest in the world and being distributed to all the Barquisimetanos present at the event.

La preparación del Pepito tuvo inicio a las 5 p.m. y concluyó exactamente a las 8:23 p.m., siendo totalmente medido, confirmado y reconocido por los Record Guinness cómo el más grande del mundo y siendo repartido a todos los barquisimetanos presentes en el evento.

This event was held at Paseo Juan Guillermo Iribarren, which is very close to home and I had the pleasure of being present at said event, the emotion that it gave me for having witnessed this is inexplicable, because I did not have the pleasure of trying the Pepito, but I did speak with a friend who was also present and ate it and said that it was really delicious.

Este evento se realizó en el Paseo Juan Guillermo Iribarren, el cual me queda muy cerca de casa y tuve el placer de estar presente en dicho evento, la emoción que me dio por haber presenciado esto es inexplicable, pues no tuve el placer de probar el Pepito, pero sí hablé con un amigo que también estuvo presente y lo comió y dijo que realmente si estaba delicioso.

This Record was possible thanks to the mayor of Iribarren Luis Jonás Reyes who made everything possible with the support of the best in kitchen in Barquisimeto, the event became more emotional because it was animated all the time by the Host of the Caribbean series and the Los Cardenales baseball team Gregorio Valles, together with the governor and his wife, who made public the Intangible Heritage and gastronomic reference of Iribarren, and letting all public entities know that the pepito was made for the first time ago 40 years in our Barquisimeto, also declaring March 3 as Pepito's Day, which will be the holiday of Barquisimeto, Iribarren.

Este Record fue posible gracias al alcalde de Iribarren Luis Jonás Reyes que hizo posible todo con el apoyo de los mejores en cocina de Barquisimeto, el evento se hizo más emotivo porque estuvo todo el tiempo siendo animado por el Animador de la serie del caribe y del equipo de beisbol de Los Cardenales Gregorio Valles, junto al gobernador y su esposa, quienes hicieron público la declaración del Patrimonio inmaterial y referencia gastronómica de Iribarren, y dejando saber a todas las entidades públicas que el pepito fue hecho por primera vez hace 40 años en nuestro Barquisimeto, también declarando el 03 de marzo cómo el día del Pepito, el cual será día festivo de Barquisimeto, Iribarren.

Around 8 of the best Pepitos and fast food stalls were present at the event, where you could try the best Pepitos at the best prices in Barquisimeto, apart from those that could not be missing from the most Venezuelan company in the world, the company Polar with its Polar beers, the best in Venezuela.

Alrededor de 8 de los mejores puestos de pepitos y comida rápida estuvieron presente en el evento, dónde podías probar los mejores Pepitos a los mejores precios de Barquisimeto, aparte los que no podían faltar la empresa más venezolana del mundo, la empresa Polar con sus cervezas Polar, las mejores de Venezuela.

The ingredients of the pepito were provided by the Mayor who provided the meat, by the Orquídea Group for providing the breads and the 60 restaurants for providing the sauces , the cheese and the ham that was used in this wonderful Pepito. And its preparation was thanks to the 15 pepiteros and the cooking students who put everything together.

Los ingredientes del pepito fueron aportados por el Alcalde que dio la carne, por el Grupo Orquídea por dar los panes y los 60 restaurantes por aportar las salsas, el queso y el jamón que se utilizó en este maravilloso Pepito. Y su elaboración fue gracias a los 15 pepiteros y a los estudiantes de cocina que armaron todo.

This was broadcast nationally, all the country's television stations and local radio stations were in the great achievement of Barquisimeto. And letting the world know that Pepito is officially from Barquisimeto.

Esto fue transmitido a nivel nacional, todas las televisoras del pais y las radios locales estuvieron en el gran logro barquisimetano. Y dejando saber al mundo que el Pepito es oficialmente de Barquisimeto.
