Seafood is a source of potassium, vitamin A, E, C and D, calcium and iron. Vitamins really necessary for the growth and strengthening of bones. Because it is an ingredient of animal origin, seafood offer high quality proteins, because they contain all the essential amino acids. They are low in carbohydrate and most of them have a low fat content, not reaching 2% of its composition.

However, many of them have a high proportion of cholesterol, such as squid, mussels or prawns.
