Steemit Blockchain Based Community Organisation To Empower Youths From Bangladesh

Dear Steemians,

Last year in July, I created a community account on steemit to support young steemians from Bangladesh. The main purpose of the community was to provide education about steemit, bring Bangladeshi steemians in a single platform so we can learn each other by sharing the experiences. As founder of the @SteemitBD , I created several social media platform accounts to promote quality articles written by Bangladeshi steemians. But only a few people knew that I am the person behind the project as I didn't want to public myself that way. But as many steemians from Bangladesh are facing problem from @cheetah ban and getting blacklisted for their unconscious activities, and some are hacked by scammers. @SteemitBD came forward to help them through the platform. By nature, it works similar to other communities but the theme is to empowering youths from Bangladesh.

The Community was more active on facebook group. And I decided to bring all of our members in discord as you know discord in one of the good media to moderate members action and connect each other.

I already made around 50 Hangouts the last couple of days with the members of the group to organize ideas and sharing my thoughts and experiences about steemit.

How the Community Organisation empowering youths from Bangladesh?

I found many stories from Bangladeshi steemians and learnt a lot of creative ideas invented by them on this platform. But they face lack of followers support and attract their followers with their quality contents which are important to receive quality upvotes. Even 600 words with quality writing receive 0.02 cents upvotes as he is new.

The Community platform working together to find the solutions and implement the ideas. Currently, Steemit Bangladesh supporting several ways to help Bangladeshi young steemians. Which includes :

1. Contest or Competition

We are arranging many contests for Bangladeshi users. Which includes " Quality article curation league" . @SteemitBD looking for some sponsors of the competition. The sponsors will upvote 100% or certain amount which will give at least 1 USD upvote to the selected articles. @steemitbd will arrange the competition twice in a week and preselected candidates will have to present their quality articles to judges. Soon logo contest will be arranged with 2 SBD 1st prize.

2. Curating Quality Contents

Steemit Bangladesh already has a curator team who are looking for quality contents by Bangladeshi steemians. It can be Bengali or English. We motivating users to use #steemitbd tags so we can find the posts easily. Every day we are selecting 3 quality articles for 100% upvote from @steemitbd and resteem it from community account.

@SteemitBD already has 9 curation trail followers. It can give around 0.06 cents to any post through @steemitbd 100% upvotes.

3. Incentivize Writers for @SteemitBD

Steemit Bangladesh has around 10 regular writers who are writing quality articles. After approval receives from reviewers, the article is published by writing team. As an owner and founder, I am investing some SBD regularly to get upvote from @mininowbooster and other bidbot as @SteemitBD has no sponsor yet which will allow me to give incentive to writers. I am giving subsidies mostly which is important to generate quality writing for steemit and help Bangladeshi youths. @SteemitBD already have published around 20 Articles on behalf of our writers.

4. Free upvotes same as @mininowsupport

I am going to rent a server soon to run a upvote bot which will allow registered memebrs to get free upvotes from @steemitbd or any separate account which will be needed more support from Steemians. The account will give free upvote to Bangladeshi steemians while they drop the link in the specific channel with a specific command.

5. Buy and sell

Soon @Steemitbd going to add a custom bot which will allow Bangladeshi steemians to use Steemit blockchain Smart contract escrow system. So buyer or seller can buy or sell SBD/Steem within the server. It will help them to get the fund with real market price easily and no high fee for a small amount. But I am still thinking about it. Some suggested me to think about it as crypto is illegal in Bangladesh. I will think about it more near future.

6. Mentoring or Education about steemit and discord

Last but not the least, education about steemit is more important than any of the above points. I am continuously talking with the members about steemit and how to work on steemit. Many of us don't know how to write a quality article in English. So we suggest them to use Bangla too. But as we have no curators from Bangladesh who are working with popular curation teams like @ocd @curie @sndbox and others, it is hard for the community to reward good articles who are writing in Bangeli.

Most of the members just joined on discordapp first time and they ask to know how discord works. I am trying to support new members and helping them to learn discord and steemit. We are also talking about other awesome communities like @steemgigs ( witness by @surpassinggoogle ). In our last hangout, I shared the community discord link during hangout and talk about #ulog and other things going on with steemgigs community server.

We had around 4 hours voice hangout about SMTs and community quality article contest topic and later we had after party friendly discussion on 6 June 2018. The community already has around 250 Bangladeshi steemians. I was playing a role as Steemit Bangladesh to moderate the community.

I found some of my foreign friends joined in the server too. It is so nice for the community to have people from around the world. But by nature, the community working with Bangladeshi youths to support the best possible way. Also, I can't take responsibility of any action done by our members until I authorised him to do it.

Also happy to see @Guiltyparties in the community. He is from steemcleaner and found the server randomly. I will try to contact him if anything we can do to make the platform better for Bangladeshi steemit users.

I highly encourage Bangladeshi steemians to join the community with expectation and hope. I wish to see your success on steemit. But we are not allowing Vote exchange, vote begging there. If you are from Bangladesh, join the server and let's talk how Steemit Bangladesh can support you. Promote your post in #post-promotion channel so our curators check them and upvote and resteem it if it qualifies as quality content.

I am developing the project still and need your suggestions to improve the community. Many youths from Bangladesh are trying to empower themselves through online earning as the higher rate of unemployment inside the country. Lower income, middle-income families face more difficulties to find jobs. So they sometimes involve with unethical practices, like taking drugs, and other criminal activities. Political leaders misuse he youth power for their political agenda. @SteemitBD will work with the youths from 18 to 35 Years to develop their educational and social activities within steemit Blockchain and will support them to empower themselves.
