I actually don't remember how we met but I think we started our friendship when she DM-ed me on discord long time ago. If you've been part of the Steemitsphere for a while now, you will no doubt hear of her name and probably watched one or two of her food and lifestyle videos. She writes and vlog mainly on her life, travel, food and the people she meet and her bubbly personality is contagious even from the comments she makes on Steemit.

Meeting her was always one of those 'FINALLY I get to meet her' kind of things because for one, she is a defo 'must meet' Steemian if you're all in on Steem, and of course, who doesn't like meeting the people you talk to online almost every day in real life?

She created a post just to announce that she was coming to Malaysia and definitely, my team and I was tagged in it. A few hours later, she came knocking on the discord DM door with her schedule. Looking at her schedule, you can probably already know she wants to go on an 'EPIC food tour' and try out the local delicacies of Malaysia. I did mentioned that KL would be a nice place to spend more time but it seems to me that she actually prefers the outskirts and streetfood kind of places. And btw, she somehow prefers to call me Isaac instead of Zord, for some reasons. Haha

@aaronleang and @joannewong were kind enough to organized this meetup once again as I was also so caught up with work 24/7, I could barely have any time at all to myself. They did a wonderful job at it and this time, they've decided to move out from the usual, 'Bah Kut Teh, Durian and Nasi lemak tour package' that we so often bring our visitors to.

This time round, we've decided to go have some really good roasted duck and pork.

It was good to see the Team again as there were actually altogether 13 of us for this meetup.

The place had some really delicious food but it wasn't enough for all of us so we've decided to head on over for some drinks afterwards. @waybeyondpadthai said she was shy meeting so many Steemians at one go but I guessed she started warming up at the second place we went to.

Before heading to the second place, we spotted a durian street stall just outside the restaurant. I was shocked when waybe suddenly rushed to the stall, crossing the road and even bumping into a kid while holding up her camcorder to vlog. Such is the passion of a Steem sensation. Haha, I never knew she liked durian that much as well.

I also thought that there won't be any durians in this food meetup but I was wrong. I guessed durian is really just part of the Malaysian way of living.

The rest of the team actually went ahead of us without knowing this spontaneous stop we had to make for some good durians but it was worth it. @redpalestino was furious at me for not letting him know that we stopped at a durian stall. You guys know how much of a Malaysian he is to a point to even planning to open his own durian farm together. But we managed to pack a few durian for him just so he won't be left out!

The team stayed out with her till 3am, but I had to call it a night at 1am because I had to work on a Sunday. I was seriously so swarmed with work that I was starting to lose my social life. I wanted to go grab a drink with her the day after the meetup but was so caught up with work and working late, I couldn't get myself to drive out for a drink.

Nevertheless, it was really good to finally get to meet @waybeyondpadthai in all of her bubbly-ness. We would have that 'deep talk' of yours soon till we meet again.

I guess that we'll have that glass in BKK during SF4 ey?
