The Large Hadron Collider, the world’s largest atom smasher, will be turned off for the next two years for upgrades. Hopefully, its particle-hunting abilities will be even better once it restarts in 2021.

The LHC experiment is the crown jewel of CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. A complex of successive rings accelerate subatomic particles before injecting them into a pair of intersecting rings, sixteen miles around. At each intersection point, a detector acts like a camera to watch the result of the particles crashing together. Scientists used the experiment to discover the Higgs boson, a particle partially responsible for giving other particles mass. Its shutdown and upgrade will hopefully allow physicists to explore new, previously inaccessible frontiers of the universe. Source

I had the misfortune to receive some footage from the Grove once, and boy do they like to put on a show of people being sacrificed to the gods. Let me make it clear though, I do not believe anyone was hurt, injured or sacrificed on stage, it is just a mock up of events from 2000+ years ago, and shows the worship by these people with regards to the cult like pagans of years gone by.

Anyway, back to the C.E.R.N. opening ceremony, you watch it, and make up your own mind.

Bitcoin is looking no closer to a recovery, in part due to legislators.

So many countries seem to be getting involved with trying to regulate BTC - that most people that do not like regulation are no longer willing to invest in it. Also the amount of money ordinary people have lost after the fall from those epic prices in January will also be having a large part to play in the lack of investment into BTC.

At this moment in time I can not see enough money floating around the economy via ordinary peoples wallets, for any large gains in price any time soon.

So steem is 23 cents, and likely to go lower over the next 7 days or maybe longer.
