We Can't Always be Right
We can't always be right
We can't always be sure that we've made the right decision
We can't always say the right thing
Not everyone will like us
We can't always be charming and convincing
We don't always have a good plan
Sometimes we have no idea what we are doing
We aren't always consistent with things we've said
Sometimes we're not true with ourselves and others
Sometimes we feel battered, physically, mentally, and emotionally
We are fallible human beings, we make mistakes and we don't always live up to our own expectations.
Still we seek for pefection, still we keep going and striving for something
All mixed together in this life are different parts of what we are
We have an idea of who we are
We have a mind with all of these expectations as to what life is and should be
We have a spirit that hopes for life to be as beautiful as it can be
What is this spaciousness that holds all of these changing things?
Who are we that witnesses this whole play of life?
We can't always be right, and we can't always have our own way. The part that wants to be right is such a small piece. When we zoom out and look down from the eagles eye then we can see that there is always a wider game. This life, as beautiful as it is - is just a tiny speck in relation to the whole of life.
As useful as the mind is, we need to respect that it is an isolated piece. Lest we be continually humbled as a reminder - that we are just a channel for life to flow through. Our identity isn't such a big deal.
When we put our lives and our identities into the right context, then we can really see how trivial our games are. All of the little arguments and needs and wants. They are all so small compared to the vastness of existence.
Dwelling within that expansive space, a human being will come to live a life of great auspiciousness. Free from the petty concerns of the mind - which we could easily waste our entire life dwelling on.
Let's let life happen
Let's be life
But let's not get caught up in what life is supposed to be
It is the minds arrogance to think that we know better than the life force its self.
I'm learning to trust in this not knowing. Somehow in not knowing there is a knowing that everything is as it should be.

It is indeed impossible to always be right but accepting when we are wrong is not something very easy to do.
Accepting our mistakes might be one of the most challenging thing for a person to do. Of course, it all depends on the personality of the individual in question, and how stubborn he is.
