A good reason why you should produce the best content you can

Keep your content above the water

Okay, Steemit seems to be the only player in town for what it does, which is monetised content creating, but is it likely that there will be others that will emerge as competitors to Steemit in the years to come? It's undeniable that Steemit has unlocked the door to a Steemian's creative realm, and it's patently clear that the talent on Steemit is mind blowing, so much I view daily. But, there is the tendency to slip in one's efforts with one's content, as we all know it's the way it is. We have to carefully balance life's obligations with the time we spend creating content for Steemit, but the efforts made now are more so for ourselves in the long run.

You see, the content you/we are creating now, will be accessible in the years ahead and if you have spent the time to properly research topics, create amazing photos, post relevant links and build a reputation, the work is already nearly done for you, should you need the content on a different platform, it's yours! More importantly this experience on Steemit, builds your self-esteem, confidence, writing skills, experience, plus all-round general crypto knowledge. In fact at times it feels like we're all in a crypto school of sorts, just the grant fluctuates up and down. ;-D

So, my point is that you could use your work on Steemit for other platforms in the future, so it's really worthwhile producing the best content you can with the thought in mind to use the content again. These are the times to dig deep and don't expect much in return for your efforts in the present (lucky if you do), but expect the returns to come further down the line. Think of it like you are building a personal catalogue and you can access it at anytime, anywhere, as long as the blockchain and internet both exist, it will always be there.

So, if you're ever thinking of cutting corners, or producing content that you know yourself is below your own standards, then try to keep in mind that you are building your own future today. Don't let your content SINK, keep the content above the water, if you catch my drift.

Thanks for taking the time view this post and just STEEM on.

Thanks for the advice. Minnows like me try to put up as good a post as possible.
Sometimes it's not really encouraging when you don't earn much, but it still provides a lot of fun creating contents and believing your content will be recognised some day

If you build it @kingspiration they will come. ;-D It's all still new dude, just keep on Steeming.
