“Noooooooooooo!”

Oddy’s guttural scream of frustration echoes around the lab, his ring clad fingers clawing at his scalp.

“There can be only one supreme rock King! No amount of transformation can save you washed up losers!! I shall prove it!!”

He is in a sheer craze of jealous anger, thrashing around at his minions.

You clear your throat, somehow the usually gruff, somewhat stomach-churning dislodgement of mucus, creates a perfectly melodic reverberation, as though the very angels of death metal growled.

“WHAT!!!”

Oddy flies towards you enraged!

“You think you can mock me?!?! I challenge you to the ultimate rock thrown down, a death match!!!”

Before anyone has the chance to so much as look at each other Tio speaks for you all, spitting on the ground.

“Bring it.”

Minions rush forwards to be of service, and grasping individuals, Oddy screams his directions at the growing swarm before storming out of the room, his fuming footsteps ringing after him.

“.. And fetch me… The Freaks… and show these soon-to-be entirely forgotten losers the stage!” he bellows back, his well practised projection still voluminous in the lab.

A wave of minions sweep you and your band mates towards the Great Hall of the villa, while another wave disappears into the depths of the villa.

You are guided through a maze of twisting corridors, strangely labeled doors lining each one, before you reach the Great Hall.

The abominations are obeying as ants, rapidly erecting two stages, each facing the other, each heavily rigged.

Before you have chance to get your bearings, Oddy bursts through the great doors, his hair and make up freshly touched up. The freaks, equipped with instruments, form a swaggering entourage.

As he marches towards the larger stage, malformed hands push into your back, prompting you towards what must be yours.

Keen not to be manhandled further, Tio shakes them free, striding towards the stage, his brother sauntering after him as you and Tres follow suit.

Instruments are handed to you as you climb up the steps, you turn them over, making sure Oddy isn’t cheating you.

Gotta grant it to the bastard, he has decent kit.

You find yourself huddled on the small stage with the band, a mass of monster minions throbbing the the hall.

Leaning forwards, Oddy takes his mic.

“I never open,” he declares.

The crowd turns their pulsating mass of ill-proportioned eyes towards you. It’s now or never, you have to think of something to play.

“Why don’t we take inspiration from our old New Orleans trip and play a punk song with Mardi Gras influences?” Machete says.

“I didn’t like New Orleans at all! Why don’t we simply sing about what’s happened in this crazy adventure?” Tres replies.

“I don’t know. Why don’t you, Mendo, sing a delirious text of yours while we play along, as we usually do?” Tìo suggest.

  • If you choose to play a metal song with Lovecraftian lyrics of your invention, turn to 47
  • If you choose to play a rock opera that talks about this whole adventure so far, turn to 48
  • If you choose to play a punk Mardi Gras song, turn to 49

Man, I had such hope for Oddy, too. He turned into such a tool, though. Thanks for capturing that transition!

QITR a real adventure. All week I've been traveling keeping my VP at 90% or so. Hit the end many times. Still going and hope to win in the end before post payout. The race against the clock now starting.
