Quiz Apps with Cash Prizes!

I've found a few good quiz apps recently and I have been rather enjoying competing for different cash prizes every day. Not sure why but I thought I'd share these potentially nice little earners with you guys.. the first and possibly best/ most popular one I found is called HQ Trivia.

It's free to play and there's no adverts. Basically the host comes on live at certain times of the day- 4pm and 10pm in the UK version, the USA version also has 2 games on week days and one per day on weekend's but I'm not sure what time in the US they start. All i know is that on Sunday's the prize money is enormous and UK players can join in the USA one if they want to stay up till 3am! The prize is money usually £550/$5000 on week days and it gets split evenly between everyone who answers all 12 questions right. Simple yeah?! When each question is asked you have 10 seconds to choose from 3 answers. Get it wrong and you're out. Get all 12 right and win. Prizes over $20 can be paid out into your PayPal account. You can also use an extra life once per game and you can get more lives by getting your friends to use your name as their referral. (Hint Cryptokemon wink nudge!)

The next one i found is called The Q.

It seems to be much the same as HQ but you only have 8 seconds to answer each question on this one. Also it's on at 2.30pm and 11.30pm CEST so it doesn't interfere with playing the HQ ones at 4pm and 10pm, which is nice. The weekly prizes are 500$. Not sure if one winner takes all or if it gets split between many as i haven't played a whole game yet. I only found it last night and was late joining. But interestingly even though i wasnt in the game i was still getting 1 point per correct answer. Guess I'll find out what they are for during the next gave on Monday. Oh yeah this one is just on Monday to Friday. No games on weekends disappointingly.

The 3rd and final cash prize quiz app i found is called KO Trivia.

This one is different in many ways. Firstly there's loads of quizzes starting every few minutes. The cash prizes are much smaller ranging from 5c PayPal to 20$ PayPal and various 5-50$ gift cards like 5/10$ Amazon ones. It's a winner takes all game so you keep getting questions until there's only 1 person left. Again it's 10 seconds to choose from 3 answers but there's no host reading these ones out. You have to do that bit yourself.

I have managed to win 2 times paying these quizzes taking home a whopping $1.50! Doesn't sound like much but its a dollar fifty more than I've won on the others! There are also some bigger prize money quizzes on this app, but you have to win entry to each one before you get to play for that amount. There's a daily 100$, a weekly $1000 and a monthly $10000 tournament.



I have tried and failed to win entry many times. One of the cool things about this app is that I've not seen many more than 150 people playing each quiz. You have to watch a 30 second advert to join each game but that can be muted and you can watch another ad for an extra life if you have time before the quiz starts. There's also games with extra lives as the prizes so you can have up to 3 lives in each game if you wish. That means you can get 2 wrong and still be in it to win it!
