Hello everyone !

So here we go finally with the announcement of the winners of the 🎨 Original Character Design Contest! with ntopaz ✏️

Which ran from Wednesday 12 June 2019 to Wednesday 26 June 2019, Korean Standard Time.

RULES

1. New art only. The illustrations must be made for the purpose of this contest.
2. Step by step to be included.
3. Each artist may submit up to 3 entries.
4. Must be uploaded through nTopaz contest page at https://www.ntopaz.com/contest/57
5. Keep it safe for work. NSFW entries will NOT be accepted.
6. If you rely on reference to produce your work, please cite your sources.

PRIZES

This contest is sponsored by @nTopaz in terms that they will award Topaz tokens to the winners :D

From nTopaz:

• First Place: 3,000 Topaz Tokens (1 recipient)
• Second Place: 2,000 Topaz Tokens (2 recipients)
• Third Place: 1,000 Topaz Tokens (3 recipients)

Additionally, @nTopaz will award daily top ten up to 30% of their voting power.
And I will allocate a number of @steembasicincome shares to the winners and honourable mentions from my own pocket.

Many really good artworks got disqualified for not following the contest rules ☹️, which is a real shame...not sure if there was some words lost in the translation to Korean given that most of those cases were from Korean speaking participants.

Well just to give a bit of insight which criteria used for choosing the winners.

1.- Originality, original content was the whole purpose of the contest so any Fan Art and plagiarism is immediately disqualified.
2.- Skill, those artworks that show great artistic skill rendering the OC and transmit it's personality, as well as a good composition of the image with a visually pleasing piece.
3.- Creation Progress, it generally helps to value more the artwork if we can see or get a clue of how it was created.
4.- First Impression, when the images catches the attention upon first sight, this might be determined by skill as well but in a more subjective level, those artworks that I find attractive will no doubt have my preference.
5.- Character insight via description of him with text also is a plus, it was not stated in the rules so it's not a requirement but it does indeed help to like a character when he is described.

This one has very cool rendering and timelapse creation process however I feel the character is a bit bland and generic, would like to see more development into it and know a bit who she is.

Really cool design, in this case the text description didn't do much of what is already seen in the image, if we had gotten a bit more insight of who she is this might have won 1st place.
