The Crack History of the Universe Book 1 Ch.24 Total Prehistoric Collapse

The age of chaos experienced by all the inhabitants of Earth was near a breaking point. War and madness had ravaged and defiled the two nations of Laurasia and Gondwana and it would not be long many predicted before they would completely separate into independent nations out of their provinces the great civilizations formerly had!

Within these decaying times however life persevered and many minor events occurred during the millions of years before the collapse of the previous world the inhabitants of the planet had known for generations earlier. And in this installment, they will be briefly discussed:

The Final Moments

Evolution continued unimpeded by the many conflicts surrounding it and by the year 155’000’000 B.C.E. birds and triconodonts evolved while stegosaurs, and theropods diversified and more infamously blood sucking insects came to be as well upon the planet Earth.

The next year in 150’000’000 B.C.E. however was when the events that affected the Earth became a bit stranger in nature. For one; enter a third grade teacher by the name of Miss Frizzle who would take her entire third grade class on a school field trip to this time period for the purpose of educating them about the Dinosaurs! Thankfully no one was hurt and the whole class made it back safely to their original time period they were within.

Only one other temporal violation would occur in this sector of the timestream as a one Baron Ether would wind up stuck in the Cretaceous Period around the time of the year 140’000’000 B.C.E. for about six years before he found a way to get back to his home time period.

The Final Disintegration

In the year 130’000’000 B.C.E. the country of Laurasia would divide permanently into three separate territories. The Laurasian Royal Family had recently taken a negative stance on the Yith and their entire religion and they had annexed territory from the Yith Church in an act of war against them.

The Yith Clergy was thrown into chaos by this sudden attack which gave the Mi-Go new grounds to start fighting both nations for war crimes committed by the two powers against them during their invasion and partial settlement of the Earth which was guaranteed and allowed to them by the Gondwanans to the South!

Gondwana meanwhile would peacefully dissolve completely with a whimper as the main government surrendered to one of its most powerful neighbors the Tyrano Tribe which had saved Gondwana only years previously. Thus, did Gondwana dissolve by way of a peace treaty and henceforth its many provinces divided amongst themselves or enjoying alliances with their neighbors against their enemies simply became independent nations giving them more freedom than ever before! And that was how the two great powers of the Prehistoric Age fell…

Evolution Since The Collapse

At this point in history there was no Gondwana to direct and guarantee evolution or bring order to new life so survival of the fittest became significantly more competitive during this span of history. Nonetheless life continued regardless with numerous changes observed in species across the Earth.

Flowering Plants emerged in 130’000’000 B.C.E. giving much color to the lands and helping their reproductive cycles to provide for a symbiotic relationship with other insects who would help pollenate them and spread their young across the Earth’s many lands and areas.

By 115’000’000 B.C.E. Monotremes emerged as a form of mammal that lays eggs to reproduce. Only Five Million years later in the year 110’000’000 B.C.E. a form of toothed birds came to be in the form of the Hesperornithes!

Conclusion

Overall the collapse on Gondwana led to more freedom for the many species of Earth to flourish and compete against each other for dominance in a new survival of the fittest. For the first time in many a moon the skies were the limit for many a species in the South as they fought, allied, and competed to become the best of the best!

The only thing that could stop this time of brief renewed competition and change would be almost divine in its nature and force. Which would be exactly what was just around the horizon for the Universe…
