Are Doctors the new Lawyers

I was reading that in the most developed country in the world, the number 1 reason people file bankruptcy is do to medical bills. About 500,000 a year. You think that with new tech, and all the advances in medicine that the costs would go down, but no. If you compare it to a free market medical field like elective plastic surgery, you see that we are at lows in plastic surgery pricing. That is do to most practices being privately owned, competition, and new tech. Same thing goes for Lasik eye surgery. My daughter had some stuff that we had to go to the hospital for. They were super vague on pricing and when it came down to it they had you over a barrel, and charged 10x the amount of the test that it would have cost if went somewhere else. Why because they can. Then they call themselves doctors more like black mailers, or extortionists.
