FREE CHICKEN FEED FROM THE LAKE?
Waste not, want not?
Part of life for us here is using what we can and making the most of things. This is a choice, but it is a simple one with some amazing results. Recently @papa-pepper had a fun time catching some large carp.
Yeah, that's one! If you missed that post, you can click here to check it out. Anyway, fish aren't just for cooking. There are several other things that can be done to make the most of the harvested fish. This is just one example.
Since these fish were getting ready to spawn (mate), the large females had a of eggs inside them. While these can be consumed by humans, I wanted to try to use them as a chicken feed. Although I did lose section of the footage I shot, I combined the rest to make this video about it. Enjoy!

Thanks for the video. Haven't been around chickens recently either, as I said about goats just now on your goat munching experiment post, so it was great seeing these live, super healthy chickens up close.
