Full Moon Over New Orleans
A scene from “The Originals” where Hayley jokes about killing people if they ever celebrated her death. I really like the way the creators portray the feeling of “home” and coziness after the chaotic parts are over. The characters just come back to what’s really important and reflect on what truly matters.
I had imagined this painting to be very different with some warm lights but it went in some other direction, especially considering the limited water use. (hot pressed paper) Anyway I did enjoy making it and carefully layering the colors to achieve some nice skin tones. The process of building different areas of a face is always exciting and I am a little happy when I compare the first layer with the final one. Patience definitely goes a long way! 🙂
