Night Photography

in #creativecoin5 years ago

Yesterday a friend of mine called me to go out and do some night photography. I said yes and then realized that my tripod is not home :) Not a great start for night photography :D

The moon is almost full so there we would not see a lot of stars, but it is an interesting thing how much light there is. So less stars but interesting light on everything else.

No tripod, so startrails were out of the question. This one was taken from my photo bag. I probably moved my focus while setting the camera on the bag, but i like the feel of it.

This one is a test shot, from the top of the car. I like the look of the grass with moon light, feel that it would be interesting to put the camera just over the grass, but no tripod and bag was not high enough. Maybe i will go again in few days to try it out.

Also from the top of the car, just turned to the other side.

Led reflector is not the best thing for light painting :D

Beautiful captures! I really liked how the photos have come up and the best part is the EXIF data that you have shared that can help people like me use similar settings when going for night sky photography.
Amazing work!

thanks.
if thee is no moon, you will just go with a bit more ISO. If you have a lens that goes to f 2.8 or 1.8 i feel you don't need to go over ISO 1600. on a full frame camera even less.

That's an illuminating moon! Definitely looks like dawn or dusk.. Nice shots though mate.. I love night photography, possibly because it's not something that's attainable for a novice and requires some skill, talent, and equipment..

i always loved it as you get something you can't really see. and most of the times you need to go to the nature 😀
thanks
