I was wondering how much rain you have had in your region of late, your drought has been ongoing for such a long time, yet no word is ever mentioned how farmers are battling.
Putting plans into motion for saving water and keeping monkeys out of crops is a great start, even when the rains return @breezin.
Hope the relief of early spring rains come over soon and wet that land for you.

Yes indeed. we have always been water wise on the farm and used sparingly only what we need, and we are constantly finding ways to improve on doing so. But the freakin monkeys and rats are driving me up the walls LOL
I am hoping that this will be a good rainfall year, as we have had 6 consecutive bad years.

Farming is tough, being a farmer fighting against the elements!
Monkeys have become a problem raiding homes when they can get in, we had rats at one time, thankfully that appears to have stopped. Building enclosures to try hold moisture in, keep vermin out will help moving forward.
Weather forecast always shows rain is coming yet we have had little to nothing since the big floods that caused devastation.
Keep going, that is all we are able to do one day at a time, love to you all up in Limpopo.
I could never imagine having to worry about Monkeys raiding a farm... That's a whole new level.
Monkeys have become a whole new level of naughtiness!
