La Teoría del Criminal Nato de Cesare Lombroso
El médico y criminólogo italiano Cesare Lombroso (1835 – 1909) es el autor de la Teoría del Criminal Nato, donde establece que una persona puede nacer predispuesto a ser un delincuente por sus características físicas y biológicas. Los delincuentes naturales, según Lombroso, también presentan diferencias en cuanto a su comportamiento, moralidad y capacidad de socialización que los distinguen de las personas normales.
Algunas de las características especiales que distinguen al delincuente nato son las siguientes: Cráneo irregular, frente chata, mandíbula inferior pronunciada, orejas grandes, brazos largos, mayor fuerza en el lado izquierdo del cuerpo, vista aguda, menor sensibilidad al dolor y al tacto. Por otra parte, el delincuente nato carece de remordimientos, no es capaz de controlar sus impulsos y no siente vergüenza. También está predispuesto a adquirir vicios como el tabaco, las drogas o el alcohol.
Esta teoría ha sido fuertemente criticada pero aún no se ha podido demostrar que sea incorrecta, sino todo lo contrario, ya que científicamente se ha comprobado la existencia de un “Gen Asesino”, también denominado “Gen del Guerrero” que crea en el individuo una predisposición programada a comportamientos violentos.
