I guess it depends on the classical or modern chosen, and where you draw the line for modern. I really love Dali and Picasso, but also many more of the artists from the renaissance and baroque eras. I guess there is some survivor bias there, as ordinary artists work from the classical period have just not survived, while there is very little modern art that has been lost from time because time hasn't passed yet
