Bittrex removing BITSHARES, could Steem be next?

In the news I just saw an article which listed the coins to be removed from Bittrex. Among the coins being removed include Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin private, and Bitshares. This is noteable to our community because Steem is based primarily on the same code base that Bitshares was based on (graphene). The less DPOS/Graphene coins on a platform the more likely it could be that the platform could remove Steem.

In 2017, the Bittrex exchange platform had delisted Bitshares [BTS] after they realized that the operating costs were expensive. In addition, the exchange platform cosidered the operations of the BitShares node was a “very complicated task”.

It is possible that they remove Bitshares due to lack of volume but it is doubtful because Bitshares is a very old community and one of the biggest.

If you think it is a mistake for Bittrex to remove Bitshares from their exchange then let Bittrex know how you feel.

Let them know you'll consider using a different exchange if they remove Bitshares.

BTS was delisted from Bittrex more than a year ago. The site is trying to spin it off like if it is a new event...kind of gives you an idea of their credibility.

I'm pretty sure that they killed BTS trading last year. I think you may have stumbled across some old news.

Binance, however, still trades BTS.

If confirmed then it looks like I fell for fake news. May have to delete this post if true. Thanks for this info.

Yes this happened long ago already. Bittrex have their own reasons - or Bittrex demand certain requirements that couldn't be determined in time ... whatever they are. Request your exchange to list BTS!

If you look at all the coins out there, its a disaster for most. Steem is one among the few still holding up.So not sure it will happen

Atleast its not dead, project is still active .Compare this to 95% of masternode coins which are zombie projects

Steemit is different than bitshares even though they used the same graphene system.
The exchange has to earn fairly to hold a token.
It is just business.
They wouldn’t care less.
As long money is flowing.
Business is good.
Keep on postin’

Business would be good for both Bittrex, and BitShares volume if they listed it. It can only be a win win. If anyone is close to Bittrex, worth seeing what you can find out!
