Begins work alongside Poloniex to address customer support and expanding operations. They are looking for platform scalability fixes, that Circle has the proposed fixes.

What Happens Now?

Firstly and immediately, you can expect Circle to address customer support and scale risk, compliance, and technical operations to bolster the existing product and platform. Poloniex achieved momentum and success with rocket ship velocity — a magnificent accomplishment, but one that also comes with whiplash. Circle is a global company with the skill and experience to help in these areas as an immediate priority.

They are also looking into USD EUR GBP connectivity. They also would like to expand the platform BEYOND crypto only assets.

My take and what I see:

Poloniex's view: Fuck. We're overwhelmed. Too many users. No clue what to do. Please send reinforcements.

Circle's view: We will help if you allow us to puppeteer the exchange into a conglomeration of the widest exchange there is, including stocks and becoming the first integration of all the spectrum of investments.

Do I agree with the vision? I'm not sure. It seems interesting, Circle is funded by Goldman Sachs, which is also worrisome...

However, I do know one thing... a decentralized exchange is needed for us to be secure in our own traded and investments.
