Money For Nothing
The current situation at the crypto exchanges is not the one everyone would like to see. However, weren't we all a little spoilt with enormous growths a year ago? It was obvious that that cannot last long. The bullish trend was so strong that it would make crypto the future, too soon. Greed and big eyes turned toward riches clouded the judgement of many and then the dream ended with huge sales and a few more climbs and falls.
It appeared like a glitch in the world's financial system. It was a glitch if we want to be honest. The nightmare came true if you like. Not mine or yours, but a nightmare for bastards who keep this world in chains of economic dependence and debt slavery. The evil ones who keep printing money for themselves and deliberately letting people live in mud and starve to death because helping them wouldn't make any profit.
The good news is that we are still standing tall. The king is not falling below 6000 and, along with it, all the lords and bannermen stand strong, defending their positions. That will be a hard castle to knock down. Too hard nut for the toothless system that exhibits selfish arrogance day by day.

We are in a period of status quo. Which is a good place to be. Why so? Well, because crypto is alive and kicking, not bending the knee to the fiat and the system. Crypto economics work well, even though there are little chances for making it huge out of nothing in a few months. And that's good. It will diminish the vast number of scammers who want it all, want it now and want it for nothing. Evil shadows praying around on individuals who would make them rich out of the kindness of their hearts are fading away.
What we might say, with as much of certainty there can be, is that we are witnessing the end of the crypto beginning. Now the real "long-term investment" phase starts. Time for easy money without any effort is gone and, hopefully, time for the healthy crypto economy is right ahead of us.

I like and support that attitude: now is when the game really starts! Many thought that this was some kind of bubble that would soon burst and even bet on it. I think as you rightly say, there are a lot of interests in between, a lot of dirty hands behind the mass. Many see the crypto currencies badly because it shows the transparency of their operations, the ease of knowing what is happening at all times, the difficulty of defrauding the citizen. The citizens of corrupt countries, like Venezuela for example, are the biggest beneficiaries of crypto currencies because they allow them to escape from local currencies that suffer hyperinflation, make immediate transfers and avoid the risk of expropriation or corralitos. While it is true that the crypts are now going through a bearish moment, I believe that this is simply a consequence of the accommodation they are having. The crypto currencies are here to stay! And you have to get on the train because suddenly another one doesn't happen again. Greetings

Nobody can answer! People have convictions, but no one knows for sure what will be the "best" crypto currency tomorrow. Any investment is linked to a risk, and on crypto the risk is enormous (do not let anyone tell you the opposite, an investment that is + 300% in a few years could have done -99.9% also). Who does not tell us that tomorrow, France, then Europe forbid the use of cryptocurrencies. Do you imagine the bitcoin / euro price?
In short, nobody has an answer to your question, except fools, liars and geniuses.
The position of the state in relation to cryptocurrency is not as unambiguous as it may seem. With a stable economy, the state will impede the exit to the “crypt” only for the sake of tax collection, which is important in itself. But if there are problems in the economy, the cryptocurrency boom may turn out to be a more serious threat, as it is able to quickly undermine the demand for the national currency and the stability of money circulation. Tightening regulatory measures in many countries has become another important reason for the fall in the rate of cryptocurrency.
Like in anything in life, when a new "organism" is born all the others suffers until they, all, learn how to live and interact perfectly.
That's what's happening between cryptocurrencies and fiat money, just learning how to interact. In the end, just like in nature, only the best will survive. In my opinion, Crypto has better chances because is easier to use, among many many other benefits.
But, as in anything, it takes time and knowledge to understand what's better and why. Meanwhile, we laugh and wait.
I still believe that stability is more important than novelty or potential for massive gains. People won't want to invest into cryptocurrency unless they are reasonably sure they won't suffer a massive drop in value. So, as you say, now that the time for massive fluctuations in value is over, the more long term oriented individuals might be more inclined to give it a shot.
