1. Interface

1.1.- Overall impressions
The website looks modern, with its flat design, absence of gradients and simple graphics for switches and menus. Blue-on-white color scheme is easy on the eyes and matches the logo. Text is easily readable, if only a bit small. Different content sections are logically divided by blank spaces, letting the user concentrate on the content. Overall, the design is an eye-candy.

1.2.- Tabs
Tab switch is placed on the left side and consists of four tabs.

  • News & Analysis - a live feed of token news. User can choose what content to see using several filters or "Followed tokens" switch. On the right side, there is a list of tokens that excel in some category, e.g. holder count or highest market cap.

  • Tokens - this tab is in fact just extended right panel of 'News & Analysis' tab. User can switch between list and grid view modes, as well as filter tokens using tags (which I found particularly useful). Once again, the categories from aforementioned panel are present.

  • API - tab is dedicated to all the technical stuff related to Trivial.co project. Short project description, as well as terms of use and technical data are given. Although not necessarily useful for all the users, this can come in handy in some situations.

  • About - this tab consists of three... well, tabs. The first one is 'About', and it explains what Trivial.co really is and what users can do on Trivial.co website (basically, this tab explains what the value this project has for an ordinary user). The second tab is 'Team'. It contains a brief description of every project member and a link to their respective LinkedIn profiles. The last tab contains contact information, which you can as well find at the end of this article.

1.3.- Promoted token
On the top of any Trivial.co page, there is a blue stripe with promoted token's logo, name and super-short description. It is not intrusive and can be easily closed, thus being not annoying at all.

1.4.- Settings pictogram
As for now, you can only discover and follow/unfollow certain tokens using 'Settings' tool. Pressing the 'Discover and follow tokens' button actually lands user on 'Tokens' tab page, meaning that as for now 'Settings' tool is largely useless (but this can certainly change in the future) and serves a mainly cosmetical purpose.

1.5. - Search bar
One of the best features of Trivial.co is, in my opinion, is the always visible search bar. Anywhere on the website you can enter the name or address of token you are interested in and get lots of information. Kudos for that, Trivial.co!

1.6.- Technical support 'bubble'
It is nice to have a technical support dialogue option everywhere in case there are any problems. If you don't need any support, you are likely not to notice this button in the bottom right corner at all.

2. Database

Only ERC-20 tokens are listed. By clicking on the token name or logo anywhere in the interface, user can access this token's Trivial.co page with useful information related to the token, which includes:

  • Daily active users' count chart

  • News & Analysis (if there are any)

  • Details & Metrics - for example, contact information (e.g. token's official website), wallet addresses of biggest holders, market cap and price chart and so on.

3. What to improve

Note: the following is my own personal opinion

  • The website has too many blank spaces - space could be used a little bit more efficiently;

  • Fonts are not consistent - it would be nice if the same font was used everywhere;

  • Settings page needs some... well, settings. Having a privacy switch would be nice.

  • It would be convenient to have some interface customization options (they could be included in 'Settings' page);

  • Market cap & price chart is not customizable and not really convenient to use; it needs an option to be shown in candles and timescale options;

  • If the link for news article is broken, Trivial.co just refreshes when user clicks on that article, which is confusing. Articles with broken links should be removed from the live feed;

  • An option to filter tokens by monthly price volatility would be useful.

4. The conclusion

Trivial.co has loads of useful content and looks nice. Browsing the website is a pure joy due to its intuitive interface. There are a few flaws, but they are so minor that the user experience is not affected at all.
