Dlike.io - Paving the Way For Women on the Blockchain

I just wanted to promo a new app for the Steem blockchain called Dlike!

If you have followed me for a while you might remember me talking about the need for a decentralized Pinterest on Steemit. I brought this up in a video a few months ago!

I have been trying to put this together myself, but was so happy to hear that someone else tackled it.

This is really huge!!!

I explained before that Pinterest could be a great segue into e-commerce which I think could skyrocket the price of Steem. Steem is already at a huge advantage in being the sole successful social media-backed crypto. If it could also be the starting point for people trusting buying/selling in crypto, it would be very valuable to the crypto community as a whole.

So basically, Pinterest started as this invite-only site where people could post cool stuff. Steemit isn't invite-only per se, but there is a waiting list unless you want to pay your way in, so that's GREAT! Waiting and/or pay only is a great incentive and makes something seem more exciting/interesting/worthy.

So anyway, people started using Pinterest to post pics of their goods/services and with great success. MANY Etsy users use Pinterest to advertise their products and then gain access to buyers through the platform. There is no reason why this couldn't work through dlike.io.

Users (namely female users) could post links to their products and start accepting crypto as payment. Women will be drawn to the website with the allure that they could post/like pics just like Pinterest but MAKE MONEY DOING IT. I am currently working on a video to explain this to all my female friends. What a better way to draw women in to the world of blockchain?!?

So why is bringing women here important?

Well, in United States, women make up just a skosh more than half the population and are statistically more likely to control the purse strings in a household even if they aren't the main earners. Women also make up the lion's share of online purchasers, so without them, a huge percentage of income is being left out.

I think the missing piece to Steem's success is not only more females but also the idea of successful crypto e-commerce integration. Once Steem has achieved that, the sky is the freaking limit.
