INTRODUCTION

Storage has been an integral part of computing since time immemorial. Once data is transformed into information, storage is next in line. The computing world has moved from storing bits to keeping multiple terabytes of data.

Cloud computing came to provide succour to this storage challenge with the likes of Amazon, Google and Microsoft storing large data and providing for clients in the process. Cloud computing is the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer.

Since the beginning of cloud storage services and until now, there have been concerns over data protection, how reliable centralized data centres can be, and the privacy of users. This is where IAGON comes in to bridge the gap.

The two major trends in the business and computing worlds today are Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Big Data as we know is the collection, management and storage of large amounts of information obtained from any internal or external sources. As the years increase, big data will also increase exponentially.

Blockchain technology has come to cripple centralization. Gone are the days of central monopoly, the power is now in the hand of the consumers. IAGON seeks to decentralize data storage by creating a platform that will eliminate the stress and challenges associated with cloud storage.
