ETH: PoS first version of Casper goes live
Ethereum rolled out their first version of Proof Of Stake algorithm Casper. It has been anticipated to be released from a long time because of what it will do to the price. With PoS, you will need to stake 1500 ETH coins to run a node and risk losing those if you try to cheat the system. Staked coins will be locked so this should send the price soaring as there will be lower supply and higher demand.
Personally i like PoS better than PoW because they are less energy intensive and should essentially be faster as it only requires nodes to vote on a transaction to reach consensus which are 2 important factors for mass adoption.
What do you guys think. Will this be good or bad for cryptos and ethereum?
