Kleros : Integrity and transparency in Disputes

in #crypto6 years ago

my greetings to this great community

At the time of requesting a job or service, what we think is to be satisfied with the service or work requested and for which we have paid or canceled. It can be small or large jobs, arrangements or transformations for which it requires a lot of responsibility and seriousness. Sometimes disputes arise for different reasons and both parties, both the applicant and the provider When we speak of Dispute we refer to the situation in which there is between two or more parties for the breach of an obligation, a right or a rule. At the moment that this breach occurs, a conflict arises. That is, the dispute is a situation in which two or more individuals, or failing different groups, who have conflicting interests, enter a scenario of confrontation, mutual opposition, with the clear mission to neutralize or eliminate the party considered rival.

Kleros, is a decision protocol for a multipurpose court system capable of resolving all kinds of disputes.
It is an autonomous Ethereum organization that functions as a decentralized third party to arbitrate disputes in all types of contracts, from the simplest to the most complex. Each step of the The arbitration process (obtaining evidence, selection of jurors, etc.) is fully automated. Kleros does not trust in the honesty of a few individuals, but in theoretical economic incentives of the game. It is based on a fundamental vision of legal epistemology: a court is an epistemic engine, a tool to discover the truth about events from a confusing series of clues. An agent (jury) follows a procedure where an input (evidence) is used to produce a result (decision). Kleros takes advantage of crowdsourcing technologies, blockchain and game theory to develop a justice system that produces true decisions in a safe and economical way.

How does Kleros act and how will the way people and businesses handle disputes change?

This problem would be solved safely, easily and efficiently through an intelligent contract, thus avoiding some disadvantage in of the parties involved, it would be more economical since it would avoid an official dispute. Both parties would comply with everything set forth in the contract.

What are some types of disputes that can be resolved through Kleros?

Kleros ,is a general and multipurpose system that can be used in a large number of situations:

Trust:

To pay for a good or service outside the chain, the funds can be put into a smart contract.
After receiving the good or service, the buyer can unlock the funds for the seller. In the event of a dispute, Kleros can be used for the smart contract to reimburse the buyer or pay the seller.

Micro-allocation:

Decentralized platforms could pay for microtasks (in the way of Amazon Mechanical Turk, Taskers would put a security deposit and send responses to microtasks.) The tasks would be replicated If a task gets different answers, the taskers could admit their error, this transfer a part of the security deposit to the taskers who performed the task correctly in case multiple executors remain in their position, a dispute resolution process. Then, the losing taskers transferred part of their security deposit to the winners.

Insurance:

The insured will pay a fee to the insurer to obtain compensation in case a particular event would happen. The insurer will have to deposit a security deposit that could be common to multiple insureds (respecting the rules of risk management). When an insured event occurs, the insurer can validate it and compensate the insured. If the insurer does not validate the event, a dispute resolution process. If the insured wins the dispute resolution process, the funds, from the insurer's security deposit would be transferred to the insured. In case the security deposit is linked to multiple policyholders who claim more than the deposit, a dispute resolution process would also be necessary to determine how those funds should be divided among the insured.

Social:

Networks Social, preventing spam, scams and other abuses is a challenge for decentralization. The parties can report violations of the network's policies and deposit a security deposit. If the violation is questioned, a dispute resolution process occurs. If it is ruled that there is no violation, the journalist loses his security deposit to the accused party. If the violation is not contested or confirmed by Kleros, several effects can be implemented: the content can be deleted, the content poster can lose a registration deposit and the scope of its other publications can be reduced.

How can Kleros help reduce the costs associated with resolving disputes?

With the advent of technology, there is a growing number of small businesses. This also means that there is a growing number of cases in which the transaction value is too small to incur the additional costs associated with taking the case to court. While it is worth taking a million dollar loss to court, how about a two-hundred dollar deal?

In the current state of dispute resolution, there is no cost-effective and just solution. Independent websites often have poor resolution protocols that lead to an unfair evaluation by an unqualified person. In some cases, there is simply no resolution protocol, leaving one of the parties with a complete loss.

As the number of people offering services continues to grow, this problem will only get worse.

Kleros, resolution mechanism is composed of subcourts defined by categories.

Conclusion

We have introduced Kleros, a decentralized court system allowing arbitration of smart contracts by crowdsourced jurors relying on economics incentives. You can see a summary of how Kleros works in The rise of the digital economy created labor, capital and product markets that operate in real time across national boundaries. The P2P economy requires a fast, inexpensive, decentralized and reliable dispute resolution mechanism.
Kleros uses game theory and blockchain in a multipurpose arbitration protocol capable of supporting a large number of applications in ecommerce, finance, insurance, travel, international trade, consumer protection, intellectual property and academy among many others.
Cryptocurrencies are giving you the possibility of having your first bank account to send and receive money in a secure way. Cryptocurrencies are helping millions achieve financial inclusion. Kleros will do the same in access to justice by enabling arbitration in a large number of contracts that are too costly to pursue in court. Just as Bitcoin brought "banking for the unbanked", Kleros has the potential to bring "justice for the unjusticed".
