ICO's 5 easy steps to profit!

Initial Coin Offerings

Everybody's favorite way to get into some great projects! well in a perfect world
Right now ICO's are a great way to get scammed out of your hard earned ETHERS, recent studies show that as much as 80% of ICO's are an outright scam

https://cointelegraph.com/news/new-study-says-80-percent-of-icos-conducted-in-2017-were-scams

That's a pretty dreadful statistic for the crypto world, so what can you do? follow this steps to minimize your risk

First golden rule: DON'T GET INTO ICO's
It's really that simple, most coins will dip below ICO price after they enter the market, because of a combination of selling off from devs, early investors getting the coins at a very low price and just FUD

With that out of the way, there is really very few incentives to get into an ICO, follow this 5 steps instead

1 Wait for the exit scam

Exit scams sadly are the biggest danger any investor must face when buying a new currency, this classic fraud will have the ICO's devs running with all the collected money and the project dying (and all the people that bought their ICO with absolutely nothing!)

2 Wait for some signs of life

After a couple of months if the devs have not exit scammed you need to check if the project continues alive!, for that you will need to check for a steady volume, a healthy community (Reddit, steemit, discord, telegram) and plans to include the coin into better and better exchanges
A lot of projects are not exit scammed they are just let it slowly die and fade away.

3 Check the Roadmap

Is the ICO team consistently late in their promised development?,has any part of the roadmap completed? this is a big red flag, any decent team will do their best to continuously work on their product and that means working towards making their full-fledged product.
Lots of detours and delays could mean the project is going the slow death route

4 Let the dip below (or close to) ICO price

After the initial wave of early ICO buyers dropping their bags for some profit, prices usually drop below the ICO if you are still interested in the project, the community is alive and the devs are working hard to improve the coin, you can now start to think about getting in

5 Let it get into a decent exchange and buy!

Finally after surviving all these steps, the coin may be worthy of your hard earned cryptos, but first ask yourself is this coin in a decent exchange?
You will need to check https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/ to see how the exchange rank
Remember an Exchange with almost no volume could mean an increased risk of you losing all your money if the coin crashes and you can't sell and regain some profit
