One of their biggest selling points, if I remember correctly, was the adoption of retail/daily use. This feature, even when given the option, seems of little importance to most. So for now, any chain, dapp, coin, etc that boasts this feature is likely a good short... Off the top of my head, so don’t hold me to it.

Keep in mind over 1/2 the coins are locking into masternodes. So liquidity is a problem and market can move very quick in either direction. It has fallen due to the huge gains it had last year and the multiple postponements of evolution. While some say it’s centralized that is partially true. Dash network is funding Dash Core Group for most of the development work. The network still believes they are doing a good job and have turned things around as far as communication, output, and supporting Dash. Huge changes behind the scenes but too much in the dark has caused people to lose faith. The design is great as you can see so many copy the masternode architecture but .. anyways. Hope some of that helps. If they hit their plan releases this year, I see upside. If they continue to miss, down. IMO

ETH was caught in the perfect storm as the market was hot as ICO's were flying and ETH was the mechanism for most of that. Platform competition was also very light last year. Now we have the exact opposite. ICO's are not getting funded as they used to and even ones finding funding are getting more private money that isn't ETH. The ICO's that launched are liquidating to save the money they have left as the market is in bear mode. You then add to it lots of platforms out there now all looking to grab projects that now won't be using Ethereum. I don't believe Ethereum is down for the count by any stretch but times are certainly much less clear for them now.

I've been following the kleros project for a long time and I think it's a really interesting approach and they are doing awesome work. We reference them in the court section of the new whitepaper.
So far our focus has been on building out the DAO infrastructure to get to the point where people are using DAOs to self-organize, We anticipate DAOs to be the most important users for a decentralized court/arbitration/dispute resolution protocol because they cannot rely on traditional dispute resolution services at all. By focusing on the relationship with users, when the Aragon Network launches a court protocol it will have a huge market advantage among those users.
As our research and development efforts on the Aragon Network continues and we start working on implementing the Aragon Court I expect there to be some directional overlap between the Aragon Court and Kleros, its possible there is room for collaboration there!

Venezuela and the development of the mass user adoption model

In Venezuela it's becoming more and more apparent that Dash is now on the precipice of the breakthrough we've all been waiting for. With the help of the governance system awareness has been raised, merchants are on board and transactions are on the rise. We can't let this pass and it's my belief we need to throw the kitchen sink at this or as some might put it "go hard or go home".
I think the next steps which I know are in the works is for an incentive scheme for customers and an aftercare service for merchants. In my view if we really go after this what follows will beyond our wildest dreams, as we will have a model than can be exported to areas of the world as the opportunities present themselves. The team in Venezuela have proved they are more than worthy of the investment so let's push on. I have no doubt the majority of the MN's feel the same so it's all good.

Is Dash under performing based on its recently falling number of daily transactions compared to other coins?

Over the past year or so I've consistently heard both within the Dash and wider crypto community that the number of transactions is one of the most important indicators to look at when determining real usage/adoption and price.
Considering Dash's recent heavy push for adoption in Venezuela and many African nations, having near to 1000 Venezuelan merchants listed on DiscoverDash.com and a focus on providing very low transaction fees, the number of daily Dash transactions does not suggest increased usage of Dash. On the contrary, over the past month Dash's transactions have steadily declined (excluding stress testing), going from an average of 15k transactions per day at the start of July 2018 to less than 5k per day today. During the same period, with the exception of ZCash, other PoW coins have been maintaining their daily transaction rates.

Will 'Whales' be able to create a system of Passive income through MakerDAO in the future?

In the future will there be a way for 'Whales' to lockup a massive amount of Crypto [Currencies, Tokenized Stocks, Tokenized Equity] and then allow anyone with an internet connection to come and draw some Dai against that Whale's 'pool'- and then when they pay it back, they pay the accrued MKR stability fee, plus the Whale's preset interest rate?
My first thought is: What is the incentive for the person 'drawing' the loan to pay it back?
Maybe, without a solution to that Q, this is impossible.
A Second Q: Is there any way to give a loan to someone that has no collateral to give, has no identity attached to their ETH address, and can be anywhere in the world & we expect them to pay it back?

Basic research indicates that so far in 2018 ICOs have raised ~$18bn - more than the entirety of 2017.
That might be slightly skewed with ~$1.7bn coming from Telegram's raise, but even so ICOs seem like they're a long way off being dead.
