In this article, in will be discussing the importance of World WI-FI to the world as a whole and how it can play a vital role in the development of countries worldwide .

Innovation as defined by oxford dictionary is “the act of innovating; the introduction of something new”. Innovation is the main reason for the existence, advancement and invention of technology worldwide, man has been able to come up with updates and new invention of technology.

But one factor cannot be overlooked in the process of innovation, which is the availability of data. Data of previous inventions or the stated problem, if properly examined can lead to the development of new and innovative technology. This can be used in many industries like manufacturing, transportation, medical, ecommerce, education, etc,

The major problem encountered by most developing countries that has been a stumbling block to their technological advancement is not the absence of luminous ideas, but the absence of the necessary data or information to enhance research and development.

The uses of the internet are vast and limitless, but it most important use is the availability of numerous information on the internet. A research done in 2014 shows that, the internet stores more than 1 million Exabyte of information, now imagine the total number of information that will be available online presently, with the massive increase in the number of internet users from 2.4billion in 2014 to 3.8billion in 2017. That is a whole lot of information available for the taking.

I once had a conversion with an old friend, where he said “no new technology can be developed in the world, that everything is just an upgrade on the previous one” and I immediately opposed him by saying if students are given unlimited access to the internet, new technology will be discovered.

Solution

The world is transiting from the information age to the decentralized age. The existence of the Blockchain has made it possible to provide solution to complex problems. The Blockchain provides solution to the problem of internet access in most countries with World WI-FI.

I am an Engineering student in the federal university of technology Akure, Nigeria. I am presently trying to do my final year project, which is mandatory for every student in other to graduate from the school. The project will have a great impact on my grades, as it is rated 6units.

The topic I am researching on is “design, simulation, construction and performance evaluation of a solar oven. Gathering data has been a serious issue for me due to the high cost of internet in the country.
